you can actually go to https://www.dnsleaktest.com/ and click 'extended test' to check whether your pc is using google dns or not. After the test is completed it should show something like below.

Make sure your AX50 is running the latest firmware. Try to lift the device up to improve the cooling of the bottow.

AX50 is it is Intel based, the performance will be better with Intel wireless adapter (laptops).

All Wi-Fi 6 on mobile phones are Broadcom based, they will perform better with Broadcom based router like TP-Link's own AX20 or the RT-AX86U you mentioned.

Of course, the RT-AX86U will perform better than TP-Link's own AX20 or AX50 considering it is more than 2x the price as well.

Hi there, the router is on latest firmware and i bought the fan cooler to put on the bottom of the router. Maybe i will try and upgrade the router to ax86u instead. Any other router that you recommend around the proce point of ax86u?

Thanks!

Hi there, would like to seek advise from TIME technicians here. Would like to ask is the new 2gbps router (huawei hn8245x6) that will be replacing old ONU able to fit inside those utility box in condos? Anyone tried to fit it into the utility box? I tried asking TIME customer support and they cant provide me answer and also solution. I even asked them to check if my anyone in my condo is using 2gbps plan so that they can check with technician where they install the 2GBPS router. But they cant check as well. So im trying my luck to check here. I dont want any lan cable or fibre optic cable pulling out from my utility box...too ugly.

Getting 2gbps installed tomorrow, will be using my own router and will get the installer to switch the TIME provided router to bridge mode. Is there anything need to take note as well?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Bro, yes it comes with 2.5Gbps WAN Port.

Model : HN8245X6S-8N-30
Specs :
3 x 1G Ethernet ports
1 x 2.5G Ethernet ports
2 POTS port
1 USB port
Dual-band 4x4 smart gateway
2.4 GHz & 5 GHz Wi-Fi 6
802.11ax (4x4 MIMO)
PON (fiber upstream)

So far we have not received any request to turn into bridge mode, but if yes, we can help customers to turn that into bridge mode.
