May I check with all exisitng Time User, is the line stable enough?
Will it having constantly drop the connection during rain?
A proper connected optical fiber will not suffer from such problem, but there is a possibility if not done properly.

For my condo I've heard there's 2 downtime incidents which last more than 1 day in this year itself, thus would like to check with all of you before signing up...
Yes, it does happen sometimes. many reasons could cause this, Eg. Fibercut, Vandalism, Rodents Bite, Improper Termination, Service Provider side issues etc...

Thanks alot..

I'm looking to transfer ownership (no contract) to my wife's name. Is there any cooldown before I can re-apply for another line with my own name once the transfer is done?

Also, will the RM10 discount I currently have be voided if I perform the transfer?

Hi, you need to disable the band steering under 5GHz settings, and also setup different SSID & Password for 2.4GHz & 5GHz.

Hi all. not sure this question has been answered but i want to ask this. Currently using another isp (ytl) and will end contract next year. If let say i want to change to another isp

1) can I just subscribe TIME then terminate ytl? will i lose fiber port? ( stay at apartment) OR
2) inform ytl for termination then subscribe time?

Thanks

Yes you can.... what do you mean by lose fibre port ? They are using different infra...., if your apartment is on prelaid design, then you can't use 2 ISP at the same time.
2) inform ytl for termination then subscribe time?
Not necessary, refer above.

Thanks

I got Time internet installed in my new house last week. To my surprise the Huawei HG8145X6 has superb performance, even the mesh node. I place the router in the living room and the mesh node on my study desk in the other room. Speed Test via LAN cable plugged into the Mesh node able to achieve full speed. Wi-Fi can get close to full speed as well.

I think I wasted money buying two units of Asus AX TUF4200M and AX3000 which I planned to link them up using AI Mesh.

Since I already bought them, I am going to do the below when budget is available.

1. Get a soft router with SFP+ port and plug in GPON module. Fiber from Time will be plugged directly into the GPON Module.
2. One of the Asus routers will be connected with DHCP disabled, hence converting it into an AP. The other one will link using AI Mesh.
3. Change the uplink of the ONU to LAN1 and connect it to the soft router and changed to DHCP mode.

As such every corner of my home will be covered.

TIME is known to block customers who used their own GPON stick btw.

Hi everyone, I need some help here. I own a house and planning to subscribe to TIME 100mbps package. My current house also using TIME and the configurations is that fibre optic cable > white Huawei fibre optic converter > Asus XT8 MESH router.

I just get to know that TIME no longer gives white Huawei fibre optic converter to its new subscriber anymore, instead the fibre optic cable directly plug into the router. Since my Asus XT8 router doesn't has fibre optic cable point, can I bring my existing Huawei fibre optic converter over to my new house together with my Asus XT8 router together when I subscribe to the new TIME 100mbps account?

Side note: Is the aftermarket new router nowadays comes with fibre optic point? It's been awhile that I didn't survey for router. If anyone has recommendation for 2 pack MESH router that comes with fibre optic point, please let me know, preferably tri band with budget around RM1k+-.

Thank you.
