Just wonder if TM is throttling torrent on its new Unifi 30Mbps and 100Mbps subscribers, other than those Turboed users, since the current Unifi packages are basically turboed-services.

That's not how it works. They're offering a PROMO price of RM129 to new subscribers of the 100mbps. You are not a new subscriber to the plan, therefore, you are not entitled to the promo price. I tried badgering them the same way you did but to no avail. And I'm one of the unlucky few who is still paying RM299.
*
I'm paying 329 but still no turbo, went to their TM Live chat, request for turbo. Got turbo-ed 2 days later. Currently using RT-AC5300, getting 500mbps, so might be cable issue? Not getting 800mbps yet. Might try getting a new cable and see how.

When you made the request, did the CS rep say he/she will put you up for upgrade or did they tell you to wait?

I want to clarify more about the Torrent throttling.
Based on testing it is obviously targeted at Turbo account.

The fact:
Download capped at 150mbps - 200mbps range. More like 150mbps but sometimes it will go 200mbps.
Upload capped at 20mbps to 50mbps range. Again sometimes it can go 50mbps.

Sure fire way to tell if it is TM who did the capping:
1. 35 connections total
2. Pause some higher speed torrent and the super low speed torrent will go fast
3. Total throughput is in the range of capping

So I would say if you are light Torrent user it will still be okay. Heavy user better consider seedbox services.

YMMV

It's depend router CPU too. Try get higher end CPU and you'll see the different.

seems you also like me... only can get up to 500mbps... very hard to get 800mbps... max i test can get to 750mbps...

at the beginning i test just get around 350-400mbps... then i change setting on my laptop( eco mode to balance / performance / turbo) then can get more than 500mbps... hardly to over 600mbps...

Nope. 20% CPU usage from KVM, no other things.
The others are router RAM and CPU usage.

Have you try torrent and get full speed? You are Turbo too right?

Anybody experience TM reluctant to add port for unifi just because not enough request to add port ? the need minimum 4 port request only entertain us.
How can we escalate this to the relevant ppl ?

Customer should be encouraged to work togather asking for decent router from ISP,
Why should customer be given crap router and need to buy their own?

They will give you a basic router, decent for wired, but crap for wireless, and they did not promise to support you on wireless.

Guys, based on this article,
https://www.blacktubi.com/guide/make-any-ro...-work-on-unifi/

does it mean I can use Tenda latest firmware without worrying about Unifi compatibility?
*
I suggest you don't buy this switch. I bought the same model of this tp-link switch. It worked when you just setup and you could have iptv and internet split before router.
I was able to use any router to pppoe and connected to internet.

But after a few days, the switch seemed getting saturated and the iptv signal just gone. You will need to restart your switch to get the signal back. I don't think the unit that i bought was faulty. It is because i bought 2 units at the same time, sealed box. They got the same problem

I refer to the same way of settings and changed to similar switch Netgear GS105Ev2. It works until now. Never see any problem.

Taobao is selling dirt cheap https://detail.tmall.com/item.htm?spm=a230r...s=1&abbucket=14

side note: in case you really buy from taobao, remember to get this https://detail.tmall.com/item.htm?id=689058...&_u=kekia3vf25d

because the power adaptor's pin is slope type. (The unit uses 240v same as in malaysia)

I reported to MCMC already. Will update their response here. In my case, I am Turbo-ed and given a new contract after accepting their reduced monthly fee. My argument is that with the new contract, my status is the same as a new subscriber and thus, hardware renewal is needed especially when the current hardware does not support the new speed.

Flashing custom firmware defeats the purpose of getting this router as the LEDE firmware (the only custom firmware available) doesn't seems to have NAT boost (or whatever you call it CTF/NAT acceleration) support.
*
It has both software and hardware NAT boost on OpenWRT 18.06 now, flashed it weeks ago and enabled it in the settings.

I would like to share my bad review of netgear gs105ev2. Firstly, it requires a stupid utility that only works on windows to configure. Second, the switch crashes at random times a week or multicast storm (iptv) or when i enter too many vlans. I ditched it for a tplink tl-sg105e which had a nicer interface and didnt crash.

Oh and btw i rate limit my iptv port to 100base-t, 30mbps qos it helps
And btw mine was only rm105 (compared to netgear is cheap)
