QUOTE(set @ Sep 20 2018, 02:30 PM) Nice router. Seems to be the newest router they are issuing now, but still having that Unifi logo is annoying as and there is '@unifi' on SSID? Plus there will definitely be TR-069 implemented in the router 🙄 |

I send a ticket to them
'Since the new package price is RM129 for 100Mbps while I'm paying RM189 for 100Mbps. I know i am entitle for the Turbo but I'm not sure when will I get it, so I want a rebate on my unifi to RM129 until I get Turbo then only I will start paying RM189/month. Not fair for me paying RM189 for 100Mpbs package while others paying RM129 for 100Mbps. Just a monthly rebate until my Unifi turbo in the next few months.' Not sure kena accept or not. Haha |

QUOTE(uk9089 @ Sep 20 2018, 02:42 PM) I send a ticket to them That's not how it works. They're offering a PROMO price of RM129 to new subscribers of the 100mbps. You are not a new subscriber to the plan, therefore, you are not entitled to the promo price. I tried badgering them the same way you did but to no avail. And I'm one of the unlucky few who is still paying RM299.'Since the new package price is RM129 for 100Mbps while I'm paying RM189 for 100Mbps. the ceiling price plan shall be submitted to the minister of multimedia by end of this month.
i would advice not to change ur more expensive plan to cheaper one now and wait until the plan finalized by end of this year, because if you are paying 2xx for 100 mbps, you might able to get back the extra you paid for this year at least after the plan is announced. |

Is it normal to be asked to pay for cable laying into the house from the roadside fibre box.

Guys, based on this article,
https://www.blacktubi.com/guide/make-any-ro...-work-on-unifi/ does it mean I can use Tenda latest firmware without worrying about Unifi compatibility? |

QUOTE(set @ Sep 20 2018, 02:38 PM) TR-069 is remote management by TM, so they can log into your BTU and potentially your router and do whatever they want to it. All TM stock router will have this feature. Quoted by bro soonwai from an old post of his: TR-069 is for TM to remotely configure/manage your device from their ACS (Auto Config Servers). I know they use it to change settings on the BTU but haven't seen it in action on the router. Not a really a biggie, if you ask me. e.g.: if you forgot your password of your router, they can use TR-069 to change it for you instead of having to walk you through resetting the router over the phone. QUOTE(xavien_1999 @ Sep 20 2018, 02:53 PM) Should be no, but really depends on your situation. Be careful not to be ripped off by TM contractors.Refer to here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K_db2L7AZk4 |
