Hi everyone.
Currently im subscribe to rm179 500mbps (turboed from 50mbps several days ago).
So, yesterday i went to tmpoint to downgrade to new rm129 100mbps plan.
The staff say it possible to do so but i need to pay rm200 penalty as i still in contract.
So is it true that i need to pay penalty to downgrade?

So i've posted here before, situation is :

-Turbo-ed 500mbps

-Alcatel 240-G-P (white TM box) BTU, link speed shows 1gbps with cat5e cable to PC on LAN1 port.

-Asus AC66U router, latest firmware, NAT acceleration auto (can't force ON), QOS off, LAN cable connected directly to PC with cat5e (1gbps link state) , max speed <110mbps DL .

So i thought it was TM side, gave it a few days but still no progress. Today at a colleagues place, using Alcatel 240G (silver square box) and Tp-link Archer (TM router), achieved 200+ mbps on 5ghz on my phone speedtest. checked WAN cable and its the standard TM cat5e.

My question is, possible for my cat5e (tried 2 cat5e cables, one from asus, one from TM) to be faulty? since it shows 1gbps link speed, or router setup i'm missing? Checked NAT acceleration auto (CTF enabled).

Might be an issue of copper-clad aluminum cables hmm.gif

I found that with a 3 attenna router, leaving the middle one vertical and the other 2 horizontally out gives the best performance. Any thoughts, anyone.

you answer your own question really.

what you haven't ask is what you need to spend in order to truly enjoy 800mbps WiFi

I know. I put the blame squarely on TM shoulders. They should have a booklet or something for any users who install Unifi, and that will definitely help solve 98% of problems.

They did have a printed booklet. I remember getting it when VIP5 was installed. I guess they don't print it anymore. There's also a PDF version online.

I managed to open a case for turbo case from 100mbps to 800mbps. How fast could I expect it be resolved? Any chance to get lower subscription fee? Paying RM299 with Ruby package.

Yes for my Huawei BTU. The "TEL 1" light is always lit. It'll start flashing when I pick up the phone to make a call.

The problem is that you bought all the routers that does not support your turbo speed, and you should have bought one expensive good router that can last. If you are on 800Mbps, you need the purchase the high-end routers. You can get TP-Link to save some cost.

They don't do that now though, so people will need to look for information themselves.
