Even with AC88U and 3x3 receiver, you can't get full 800Mbps, the best is around 580Mbps.
The average is 200-400Mbps via wifi.

QUOTE(Xefron @ Sep 18 2018, 10:04 PM) Even with AC88U and 3x3 receiver, you can't get full 800Mbps, the best is around 580Mbps. What device/router needed for 4X4 MIMO device/smartphone to get 800Mbps speed ?The average is 200-400Mbps via wifi. Via LAN is understood able to get full 800Mbps speed ... QUOTE(Prem Moorthy @ Sep 18 2018, 09:00 PM) I found that with a 3 attenna router, leaving the middle one vertical and the other 2 horizontally out gives the best performance. Any thoughts, anyone. -.-.......C1200?Viewing from the front with LEDs. Middle antenna = 2.4/5.0 ghz shared Left antenna = 5.0ghz Right antenna = 2.4ghz Different router has different antenna configuration. Copy paste from lifehacker website: QUOTE This is because radio reception is maximized when both client and access point have matched polarization (antennas pointing along the same plane). Some client devices have antennas in vertical orientation, some horizontal. The current crop of MacBooks, for example, have their antennas in the black plastic part of the hinge in a horizontal orientation. |

Email from unifi, either to wait or to downgrade to 100mps
Thank you for contacting Unifi. Firstly, we would like to apologise for the late reply. Referring to your e-mail dated 15th September 2018 on the turbo upgrade query. We appreciate the keen interest towards our products and services. We are now piloting the turbo upgrades to selected existing unifi customers to the new high speeds of 100 Mbps, 300 Mbps, 500 Mbps and 800 Mbps. This is to allow us time to enhance the process before the mass roll-out. We will keep you updated once this pilot phase is completed and when we are ready to roll out to our existing customers nationwide. However, by changing the plan to unifi 100Mbps RM129.00, you will not be able to enjoy Turbo upgrade in 2018/2019. Kindly inform the service contract will be renewal again for 2 years. Should you want to change the package, kindly advice to refer nearest TMpoint for further assistance. You may search the nearest outlet to your side by clicking below link: https://www.tm.com.my/OnlineHelp/TMPoint/Pages/Home. For further enquiries or feedback, chat with us at unifi.com.my for fast and reliable online assistance. Alternatively, you may tweet us at @helpmeunifi, leave your comments at fb.com/weareunifi or enjoy self-service assistance through TM Self Help website at unifi.com.my/selfhelp. We look forward to serve you better. |

QUOTE(soonwai @ Sep 18 2018, 02:01 PM) Must be good Cat5. Looks like it's linking at 1Gbps. I have a Cat5 cable which also links at 1Gbps but the max speed I can get out of it is 350Mbps. Yup, I just tested using two very old 1.5 Meter CAT 5 cables. Both sync @ 1Gbps but maxes out at about 400Mbps constant...Conversely I have a lousy Cat5e cable which links at 1Gbps and then drops to 100Mbps a minute or 2 later. After that it'll go up and down periodically. |
