Cs allow to cancel either 1...i tried call on ytd and allow to terminate my visa immediately and remain amex card only

Today visit maybank credit card centre confirmed can cancel M2 card the master/ VISA . At first did not believe it heheh
Also whoever’s annual month is on Oct better call and cancel it by 15Oct to prevent SST charged on the VISA/Master.
*10k treatpoint can be used to offset SST RM25, but the CS say wait till it charged into statement first then only use point to offset it. Anyone tried this ?

The stand-alone Amex Gold/Platinum is already there, maybe discontinue new application for M2...

I don't mean for those M2C who are cancelling their Visa/MC (left only Amex).

I was wondering we can apply only the Amex version.
Then bro ClarenceT is quoting that standalone Amex is existed.
I was just clarifying existing standalone Amex has AF, not those from M2C.

again ask cs whether if it's possible to apply standalone m2c amex.

or apply m2card then cancel visa, but hopefully SST also cancelled.

the existing amex is diff product. no point discussing it. whether m2c amex reduce benefits or discontinued, these are speculation until official announcement from Maybank.

read the post and thanks for the news! ok i just cancelled my Visa of the old M2C... and keeping my amex only... i also asked if the benefits pf AMEX card all still remained, the cs said yes... so go ahead and cancel guys if you do not use the visa/Master of the M2C... and again, must state the reason is due to SST!

Wow such a good news! Is just a bit too late for me... i have cancel both my supp card. Else i should choose keep supp Amex rather than the Visa which no benefits at all...

I remeber i call up early this month, CS still not allow to cancel 1 of it. Maybe too many complaints...

OK called to cancel the Mastercard, and the CS helped me transfer my TP to my AMEX card instead. so good.

Finally, it's release us. Anyway, need to wait the processing time for further cancellation card.

Not to worry. They've been forced to do this as too many customers complain about the SST for the 'useless' card, so management decided not worth the hassle. Very unlikely to reverse (no promises that benefit stay la).

Then it will happen again seem like last time many cardholders cancel the card without any hesitate. That's why the benefit getting back again.
