Hi guys, I recently changed the statement date from 3rd to 26th and I was expecting the statement to be ready today, however, the statement never came. I am suspecting the statement date has already changed to 26th (but the CS told me it will take 30 days).

That means my current statement just became 53 days (30 + 23).

Now the question is, if I pay the bill before statement, will that impact my CB for this month?

If I spend RM1000 but I also paid RM900 in the same statement, will the CB calculate only on the outstanding amount which is RM100 only?

I always reload from JG The Gardens without buying anything but I usually use Ikhwan MasterCard.
RM 0.50 service charge regardless reload amount (max RM 200 per transaction), so I usually reload RM 200 and get RM 199.50.

Yes. Still receive cash back.

Don’t see why reloading physical Tng card will be affected.

Agoda Maybank page is more expensive than the official Agoda page, even after 10% discount, it's still more expensive. What's this? doh.gif

Good choice. smile.gif

Then again, if we reload Touch n' Go card in any Touch n' Go hub, I am uncertain whether we can still get the 5% weekend cashback.

but did you also check whether the insurance premium from takaful malaysia brand is higher than etiqa takaful???
most of the time it is higher, hence the higher cash back

Have you include tax for both?
Agoda tend to leave out tax in their initial price compare to booking.com
It is possible that those partners booking (Maybank, KF, AM etc) will get higher price.
Sometimes they are same price.
I always compare before booking.

yes notice this too. I'll always book directly with the hotel if available (able to get membership points + best guarantee rate claim if Agoda's price is lower than the hotel itself)

Yes, I did. I opened both pages side by side and reached the booking page, after included tax, generic Agoda page is cheaper. laugh.gif

It's super bullshit actually. I've tried with Maybank/CIMB, the price on these pages are more expensive than their normal site. Same goes with Shopback landing page, the price is slightly diff from the normal page.

Maybank, same day posting. Amex is now accepted at etiqa.com.my and motortakaful.com.

Hmm this is good indeed. Previously thinking to renew earlier at this month with Barcelona. But if Amex can pay, maybe use Amex pay next month then.

I don't mind if it's slightly more expensive but if with 10% discount is still higher than normal price, what sorcery is this? Plain cheating marketing.

Amex2 still get 5% cashback in weekend when reload TnG card (not eWallet) at TnG hub. Just did that last month (July) at Bangsar South here.

Oh, thanks for the tips! I will check this out, I usually use Trivago to do comparison for me and it happened to be the hotel I wanted to book,Agoda offers the most competitive price. Then I remembered Maybank usually has promo with Agoda, Googled and found 10 discount%, I was so happy but only found out it wasn't that cheap after all. laugh.gif

agoda display price include tax, while those via bank agoda site exclude tax, generally the latter final price is cheaper, for eg hsbc 7%, mbb 7 to 10% while uob was once 12 to 13%, that said, if agoda offer a 5%, plus the agoda cash offer, then ori agoda website could be cheapest. i rarely book via bank access agoda site unless i fully utilise the 5% offer. i think this apply mostly on hotel booking for asean country, because agoda is relatively cheaper compare to the rest, further than asean, agoda not that competitive.
