I use it to transfer funds very often to Thailand's bank account. It is very fast. I also have Wise for this purpose but I hate to fill in the address honestly. Yeah, I'm aware it is slightly more expensive than Wise but it is OK.

No need to keep. Their rates are not even competitive.
Keep and if suddenly they intro fees, you die. Haha...

Some more not clear on Bigpay page on how to cancel. People asked how to cancel and instead of giving instruction, they are telling how good is the card. Lol.

Same thing with the support.

To be safe, 1x transaction per 30 days.
When I didn't spend on AirAsia for nearly 30 days, I always paid RM1 to my electricity account to avoid paying monthly fee for BIG Prepaid card in the past.

just hoping that any changes (aka restore back inactivity RM2.50 fee) will come with email announcement so we have time to make the necessary steps. meanwhile, will use it to keep on checking if remittance fee drops

For currency conversion:
BigPay is charging 1% + network charges
PBB QMC is charging 1.25% + network charges

Given that QMC gives 2% CB for overseas transaction above RM 100, is it better to use QMC unless it's less than RM 100?

Anyone tried it before?

bigpay has no transferable/ non-transferable buckets la

That's always the case, even for T@NGo. By now, they should know people are using their service for Cashback, not cash advance. Don't have to be so sore to ban CC top up.

You do calculations and see. If your card give you like 3% or 4%, after minus 1%, it's now 2-3%. Is it worth it? For me nope. For you maybe yes.

If only CIMB TWE still gives bonus points for e-wallet transactions, I don't bother about the 1%. I had been reloading 10k every month until 7th Aug. The airmiles return is far more than the 1% I paid.

We're so sorry to hear that you'd like to cancel your account with us 😔

We'd like to let you know that even if you do not use your BigPay account, there are absolutely no fees at all to maintain the account. It's completely free! 🙏

Here are some other features of BigPay to look through before deciding to cancel your account:

1) If you're planning to travel abroad, you'll save lots of money on exchange rates and buying AirAsia flights as we've got a very competitive rate.
2) You can freeze and unfreeze your card, anytime, to make sure your account is safe and secure.
3) We offer exclusive deals and promotions for our BigPay users - be sure to look at our "Rewards" tab in Settings.
4) We always have an ongoing RM5 referral program, where if you refer your friends with your referral code, you will get RM5 in your BigPay account, and your friend will get RM5 cashback in their account!

In case you still want to cancel the account, we'd be sad to see you go. 😔
