I posted the following message in TnG E-wallet thread but I am reposting here as it might interest those who are going overseas.
Today, I compared paying in Japan within few minutes difference between TouchNGo E-wallet (QR Payment) and BigPay. BigPay charged RM 1 = 30.73698 yen (transaction pending but won't run away too far) TnG E-wallet charged RM 1 = 30.99977 yen (conversion on the spot) It seems Alipay network charges is cheaper than Visa. |

I was at bangkok last weekend, withdraw from atm
either Wise or Bigpay have a charge for 220 baht. I tried many different atm and diff location, all are the same.. |
