All New MYVI "Dual VVT-i engines: -

1) The 1NR-VE 1.3 litre with output of 94 hp at 6,000 rpm and 121 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm comes in a five-speed manual gearbox & four-speed E-AT automatic!

2) The 2NR-VE 1.5 litre engine makes 102 hp at 6,000 rpm and 136 Nm of torque at 4,200 rpm in the form of four-speed E-AT automatic only!

The New Myvi 3rd Generation - based on individual experience & finding:-
Pro
- Interior seat space is amazingly spacious
- Resonably good seat size
- NVH is improved (but the stock tyres can be noisy though)
- Wheel arch inner part is coated
- Less floaty
- Silent engine during idle
- 1.3G MT is smooth & short

Con
- Kluk or loosen metal knocking sound when driving over the bump with carrying rear passenger loads
***Please visit your nearest SC for adding on the "Rubber Insulator" to the rear spring of the absorber***
- No DRL
- For MT the clutch height is rather on the high side (however, can be adjusted at SC!)
- For MT if engine stops in the middle is cumbersone & also a feel of panicky due is required to press Start/Stop button to off the engine 1st before could restart again! (The car can't be restarted immediately)...upon reading through the manual MT needs to wait after 10second only to restart
- Spongy brake feel
- Driver door possible has rattling sound only for those come with Gear Up package!

"Possible" minor hiccup from isolated detected cases - based on user feedbacks - Best is visit SC during the 1st 1000km/h inspection appointment
- 1.5 driver seat usb bracket broken off - please get it fix at SC
- Perodua recently sent a letter (mostly) first wave/batch buyers to have a free checkup to get their spring changed ASAP as according to many owners, it's what causing the "kluk kluk" noise.
- Headlight vibration issue can be checked and replaced for free

- Sound deadening or Soundproof - for a further quietest rides!

Local Authority current tint ruling, which has been enforced since February this year, 2018, mandates the following a minimum permissible visible light transmission (VLT) levels of :
- 70% for the front windscreen
- 50% for the front side windows &
- 30% for all other windows (rear side windows and rear screen)

Foglamp usually used hid & led for headlamp! I am using hid 4300k for foglight

I drove my Myvi 1.3X on last weekend. Wow, the engine response is better than the Bezza 1.3. Are they using the same type of engine?
why can I feel the difference? Is it due to the Bezza EEV ECU mapping or what? or is it just my illusion.

I just changed the T10 yellow parking light bulb to the LED from Mr. Diy. looks better but accidentally tear off the "warranty void" sticker...
Now looking for DRL (line bar type) to install externally. (not inside the headlamp)

I notice that the front corner sensor do sounds at interval time when I turn it on even there is nothing at the front. Anyone have this experience? is it due to raindrops?

are hood insulators important? they are not included as standard in all variants now, and packaged as geared up right? recommend to get from P2 or outside can do?

All modern cars now does come with a center pc of heat absorpant (only size is smaller or larger only) underneath the hood same as our G3 model! But if you like to fully cover 100% of your hood then do outside is much worth it, just my 5cent opinion lah

Is this the current official lyn group for all Myvi? What happened to the old group?

I deeply regret taking the gear ups.. Tape used is rubbish, falloff pretty quick within 3 months I guses

Unless you have the determination to remove all the tape and DIY yourself

Did you opt for the rear skirtings? If so how are they holding up?

Some says the gear up accessories are not as good as you think. They used rubbish tape to assemble the accessories and it easily to fall off after few months. You can refer from video below

Where you guys get racing pedal?

Bulb type is PY21W

Note: If we get the normal LED ones, the turn signal will blink faster than normal (this is because there is function to indicate the driver when any of turn signal bulb gets damaged. So once we put in LED, as the load is very very low compared to halogen, the system thinks that the particular bulb is damaged, so flashes faster than normal). to solve this issue, either we need to add-in load resistance into the circuit or, need to get one with inbuilt load resistor.

i knew tanhawk will be the TS for v2!

on the right 1 is the 1.5h player.
left 1 is 1.5av. u can ask the shop to route new wire for reverse camera instead cut. if you get toyota universal player, it just plug and play. no wire cut required.

1) How do you switch on the DRL? Does it switch on automatically once you start the car? Or you can toggle it on & off?

2) Does it go off when you switch on the main headlights and or foglights?

1. It's auto. Starts once it detected power. Doesn't require engine to be running in order to work. It also runs at the phase before the car engine actually starts. It will also continue to run even when eco idle is engaged.

2. Nope. Only when I completely off the car.

Come to think of it, the hood insulator actually insulates HEAT or SOUND?

I would have done this if my ride color wasn't granite grey.

I've seen a completely blackout Myvi (chrome delete, super smoked headlight and taillight, blacked out rims, black tint like batman car holy).

Don't even see a tiny speck of chrome bit.

It's nice but dayum it's so black. Doesn't get any blacker than that.

I think it's primarily heat. Sound not so much although there might be some that does both.

If we were to talk about Perodua Gear Up ones, I think it's mainly heat.

For me this is what is in my head when I thought about the color

Silver - I have a HRV which is already silver so no. Redundant.

White - Starting would be ok but white gets dirty easily and under prolong exposure from sun, will become yellow overtime. Good thing you can't see scratch so obvious.

Lava Red - I would have considered this color if it's like the Mazda Red type. or Maroon type. This color is too flashy. Also don't look too nice with the Chrome gearup

Green/Peppermint - Unfortunately only for 1.3 models.

Granite Grey - When they say granite grey, I thought it would be like the Modern Steel Metallic like CRV but honestly, this looks more like black to me. Most practical for me then.

Purple - This is a very tacky color. Just no.

Hi. I want to ask about tinted on Myvi 1.5 AV. Last time i already apply tinted 50% with Raytech but i want to change tinted with 30% which is more darkness with security film. Any suggestion?

how they pasang the eye lid signal? it is like a sticker just paste the LED on top of the headlamps?

transmission related, seems like lock up clutch issue i guess.... get it check at sc and get them resolve, i believe your car is still covered by warranty.

From what I observe they did not cut any of the wiring from my car.

They use the wiring from the Slim Eye Lip and cut a bit from the wire and use the exposed copper to join into my headlight/signal light bulb socket. So yeah basically plug and play.

You finally did the foglamps!! damn nice...I want to do also...but have to wait for budget lah...my car is already registered with JPJ, this means the shop has my car already right? all goes well I should be getting my car this week...

THere is H11 LED for forlamp. I bought it RM120.00 for 6000K. Its bright.

i guess depends on how many cars they have to register in the week....if there's a high number of cars then it would take some time

How to turn off the eco mode?

Is it a good idea to turn it off?

Some ppl tell me my spark plug will spoil quickly due to eco mode.

What's a good and reasonably priced dashcam - I know loads going around but anyone got a recommendation?

Car from opposite side of the road skidded off a 2-lane road, went onto the curb, and landed on my side. I avoided her by 0.1 second else she would've rammed into my driver door.

My Grey bae suffers stone chips on right side both rims cause by the uproot and stuff she splashed from the curb and rear bumper paint strip and one small pimple like bump on my bumper. Thankful to be alive tho.

Gonna try to polish it and see if the white scuff can be removed.

eco mode or eco idle? 2 different things

eco mode = let ur engine runs at a more fuel saving mode when the requirements are met

eco idle = cut the power to engine after u stopped the car

anyway, based on ur description.. i think u referring to eco idle.. just look to the right side of your steering.. beside the window setting there.. the button with an "A" is the button

Led bulbs are an in-thing trending now, almost all accessories shops have them. Best is buy online to save a little & try diy yourself or visit any accessories shop or mekanik bawah pokok cheap cheap install for you!

Why lately everyone is getting the car late even though it has already been registered? Last time you can get it 2-3 days after register...

last time = have GST or SST
