Very detailed post! rclxms.gif

Actually i wanna ask,
does the follow-me home function automatic or what?

Honda Vezel i know is always automatic, leave the headlights automatic and then turn off the ignition.

I have not taken photo yet due to the wet weather but since mine is a 1.3G,
- I ran the dashcam wire through the front windscreen headliner
- Follow all the way down through the A-Pillar (but yours A-Pillar has airbag so I am not so sure how are you going to diy!)
- Stuff the wire in & through the back of the glove box & re-emerge at the center of the dashboard to connect to the 12v socket

My Background
- 170 cm
- above 70 kg

Service
- First service at 1000km is just for inspection. Free. No fees. I walk in wait one hour then car is ready.
- Second service free labor, havent achieve km 10000 yet.
- 5 years warranty
- Received car at km 55. ๐Ÿ˜“

Past rides
- Dodge 2000
- Corolla 1998
- Preve 2012
- Sometimes drive Persona, Myvi 2nd Gen, Hilux, Vellfire, Audi A6, 2017 vios.

General
Overall, i love my ride. Wont change anything/upgrade for now. Maybe in 3 years time, gonna change the tyres and upgrade ICU. Now at km 2000 aldy after almost a month ride.
Out of 5.0 (very subjective and personal, and im not comparing to conti cars)
Driving: 4.5
Performance: 4.5
Comfort: 3.5
Interior: 5.0
Utility: 4.5

Loan
- Myvi 1.5H 2017 Dark purple
- Maybank 3.00% 7 years 50k
- Received on first week of Dec 2017
- Freebies: Kain lap, phone holder, steering lock, sun shade, tinting from Raytech (need to top up $ for better one, i top up rm269 if im not mistaken), deodorant for car, umbrella, tngo card (rm0), and lupa dah. All cheap stuff. I dont like them, except payung. Anyway im still grateful.๐Ÿ˜š

Performance
Before first service, the car performance is like mehh ๐Ÿ˜ฃMaybe because i was driving below 100kmh back then. But then.... different story after the service.๐Ÿ˜Ž Please note that the SC didnt change anything, even the engine oil at 1000km service. They just wanna inspect the car and ask you few Qs. My car dont have the usb casing problem as others and no rattle noise as i dont hv gear up accs. So the story begins..., after I pressed above 100kmh.
IMHO, taking over cars is easy, even at steep road (Im talking about the hill before terowong menora (ipoh), both side upnorth and downsouth). Maintaining 110kmh is easy (please dont do this at home ๐Ÿ˜…). Downside, taking over or pickup from 40 to 80kmh is slow (time needed) compared to taking over or pickup from 80 to 120kmh. Maybe because the driving was at higher speed? My point is, there is a momentum created at high speed. In other words, taking over at higher speed is easier. i can feel that the first type takeover's gear changes is slow as compared to second type takeover; the gear drop is faster for the second one. Sorry if this is just my mind got trick. However, i can only say that this myvi cannot kejar old vios. Maybe its just my driving skills, i sayang my myvi or the vios owner modified his/her car.

Fuel Consumption
On highways:
- Has pressed to 160kmh for few km twice. I believe can go 180kmh becoz i didnt floor it.๐Ÿ˜‚
- Sometimes 140kmh for short period of time
- Mostly 110 to 120kmh; would say 80% on highway
- Rarely below 100kmh, just to test CFC and below 1000km car distance travel age
Urban:
- From house to work around 10km x 2 ways everyday
- Go jalan2 makan2 at KL

Full tank max roughly RM70 RON95
The fuel tank reminder will light on at distance 50km remaining. at 40 km, the distance left will say " ----- " meaning
you need to top up fuel now. i drove for 25 km more ๐Ÿ˜… and probably left with 15 km and nothing happen. so should be okay.
Next time i try RON97 okay?
For second highway ride, tank said 480km to go. I drove above 530km still got fuel left, maybe because thats based on AFC. Before that i drove at city.

Average CFC km/L drove at Penang 2nd bridge (flat road) around 2am. Each test last over 1km. But please note that the wind from the sea at different time of the test might affect the results.
at 120kmh = 16.6
at 100kmh = 22.6
at 80kmh = 27.0
at 60kmh = 29.2

First AFC = 15.9 (before first service)
First 300km = City (11.5)
300km to 1100km = Highway dunno (must be above 15.9)

Second AFC = 15.2 (now)
1100km to 1300km = City (12.2 - this one mixed up aldy with highway before. i forgot to reset)
1300km to 2000km = Highway dunno

Please note that you can achieve the Paultan mentioned AFC(17.3 km/L), but you cannot drive like me haha. I bet Paultan did their test during office hours, thus not so many cars on the road. And they dont drive 160kmh at any time ๐Ÿ˜‚. And to achieve Perodua mentioned AFC, i bet there cannot be any cars especially lorries taking over on the road thus no braking needed which is cruise all the way. Difficult to achieve one la. Not even 20.0 km/L

Seatbelt Indicators
- Seatbelt sound indicator will go off (stop beeping) roughly after 200 beeps of high pitch warning. There are two level of sounds, first one soft, the second really madly high pitch sound asking you to wear your seatbelt. So? wear your seatbelt la...
- Will go on (start beeping) above 20kmh and if the seats detect weight. Even if you put heavy bag on the front passenger side, the sound will go on.
- Detect driver, front passenger and rear passengers side. Sound will only go on (beeping) for the front only. Indicator will show all three. Sound indicator will go on (beeping) if the rear passenger wear the seatbelt and then take it off during car is moving.
- Signal indicator sound cannot hear if youre not wearing your seatbelt. But if from beginning you didnt wear your seatbelt, the signal can be heard after the seatbelt sound go off.

Driving position
Driving for 2 hours non stop. Pit stop for 15 minutes. Continue driving for another 2 hours. Sakit belakang mak oi. Persona is more comfortable. This myvi leg room is so big, but the car seat does not support my leg thigh even at the back, thus sometimes not comfortable and feel tiring.
City driving is comfortable. The car seat really "buckle" my body shape.
Steering wheel is lighter as compared to Proton Persona and slightly better than the previous myvi.

Sound / noise
Most of the noise came from the tyre. ESPECIALLY from the rear tyres. If you sit at driving seat, you can hear the noise from left rear tyre; vice versa. You can only hear them if you turn off your audio and driving at high speed. Most probably came thru the rear window/doors. Need to upgrade or make some adjustment to the rear doors if you cant handle it.
HUJAN - nothing can do about it. Noise came from the front windscreen. At 110kmh during rain, even radio at volume 18 cannot get rid the noise from the windscreen. Good thing, you wont be sleepy. but not as noisy as the previous myvi.
ENGINE - After I go for 160kmh for few seconds, the engine is like giving a hint she wants more. If i stay at 120kmh after that 160km craziness, a little push to the paddle can go to 160kmh really really fast. If i stay at 120kmh, the engine make a noise i never heard. Macam aircond sound at your home. Yes you can only hear it if you turn off the radio. But it will go away after a minute or two.

Idle
If idle or eco is turn off, the car's engine wont stop/mati at the traffic light. But i think the indicator (green light) is still on sometimes just to show your current driving is environmental friendly or not.
Yes there are two levels of brakes, if you push further or deeper, it will go to idle mode (on). The idle doesnt go off after 5 seconds as some might say. Mine at traffic light can go up to 2 minutes especially at night. This is probably due to my air cond setting at level 1 if you know what I mean. The idle mode will only stop (engine start again) if the car detects that the interior is getting hotter than the setting you set at the aircond level.

Others
- Smat tag works like charm. I am using Raytech tint btw.
- LED headlamp follow me home works, sometimes. IDK how it works. sometimes on sometimes off. As of now, if you unlock your car then the light follow me home will turn on.
- Front and reverse sensors works. There is still small gap even at non stop beep of the sensor. Maybe around 10 to 15cm.
- Hill assists work, but sometimes the car move back a little if i release brake at steep parking lot for a longer period of time.
- Headunit can detect 8gb fat32 thumbdrive mp3.
- Bigger leg room at the back, beat persona, vios and previous myvi.
- Nak kejar vios x dpt. I tot engine sama, but maybe because different gearbox. Myvi having 4AT. IDK. But gearbox wise, i prefer 4AT than Preve's CVT.
- I like the front, not the back exterior.

Notes
- Bear in mind my driving styles ranging from heavy footer to cruise style. Fuel consumption might differ from other myvis.
- Most of the time im driving alone. First highway drive with a passenger. Second one alone.

Ive done my part. Really wanna see others thoughts especially the owners on what to upgrade.
*
Mine is H too,
AFC in kl city - 11 km/l (~15km trip, ecoidle off)
AFC on north south highway - 17 km/l (~300km trip)

Ecoidle is too much hassle to operate n i don't think it will save much petrol anyway. I off the eco mode indicator too, find it distracting, i should tell the car what to do not the other way around.

After 1k checking, p2 still haven't been able to solve the 'over the bump' sound and right rear suspension noise, they said will call me to replace new parts soon. However they did replace the loose usb socket on the driver seat.

I like how the car exterior looks n interior is adequate, smart tag reader is a plus, back seat leg room is good so is the boot space. All in all, quite an impressive upgrade from previous models.

can you tell me how big is the difference in term of highways stability between persona n myvi? Like for speed around 110-120 and 150-160... The persona is the previous gen or the latest one?
*
Persona 2010 (mom's) vs Persona 2015 (brother's) vs Myvi 2017 (me) - Personal comparison at Highways

Cornering: Exit towards Sri Hartamas at Jalan Duta PLUS Toll Highway; Persona could do 70 to 80kmh compared to Myvi 60kmh. This is me being confident at that time and not too confident. Someone else might do better. I havent gone ESC in my history.

Acceleration: Myvi wins at corners and straight highways. Persona slower at pick ups from speed 1 to speed 2. If comparing Persona 2010 and 2015, Persona 2010 wins.

Braking: Not much different. But I feel that persona need more time to brake.

Moving in steady state condition: Persona wins during take over, or if someone take over you at higher speed or if there's wind blowing.

Delivery of power to wheels and brakes: Myvi faster

Steering: Persona more stable having heavier steering wheel. Play free rotation after uturn at city goes to Myvi tho, having lighter steering wheel. Persona sometimes have to do manually.

Body roll: Noticeable in myvi at corners. Not in persona. Myvi having higher center of mass.

Wind suction: You know when you drive at high speed and you suddenly pass by a slower moving lorry, you gonna be suck into his lane right after the take over just a little? IDK what its call. Myvi above 120kmh and being lighter got that problem. Not persona.

160kmh: I havent tried 160kmh for Persona as those are not my cars. So cant really compare. I think Persona would prevail in term of stability at 160kmh. But in term of getting 120kmh to 160kmh, myvi would prevail.

Overall stability: To answer you Q, basically the difference is very big in term of stability. Persona wins for highway. Persona dont sway away (like swindle left right) after you take over or bcoz of wind blowing or bcoz of fast car take over you at really higher speed. But this thing has been improved if you compare to 2nd gen myvi. That sway left right thing happened to myvi sometimes, but very minimal as compared to starex and vellfire. Stability wise, persona wins; big. Theres always give and take.

Just a cute name for a simple feature in which after reaching home at night, u pull the lamp stick once go out n lock the car, the headlight will stay on for another 30 seconds to provide light so u can open your house door with ease, meaningless if your're staying in condo.

Hi, would you mind to share which Raytech tint you use with VLT and IRR? I'm using H variant too and currently looking for tint that won't affect the Smart Tag. I believed the Smart Tag works depend on the percentage of IRR not VLT. Mean the higher the IRR, the higher the chances for Smart Tag to not detect.

how much is viofo a119 you bought?

I bought it during the recent 12/12 sales time at about rm280 with the gps module together but excluding micro sd card.

Now my 1.3G has lane departure warning buzzer as well as front vehicle close distance buzzer (which these 2 features can turn on & off too) working similarly like the 1.5 version!

Normally if u take ceramic coated type of tint which indicated by IR percentage will not affect the functionality of smart tag, but if u r using sputter type tint, which is metal coated one.. it will affect..
