Hello..
May i know how to change the reverse light?
Wanna change to LED..
Dont want to go to shop and waste money just to install.
*
You need to open up the inner trunk cover. Let me know if you don't know how to remove the plastic clips.

These are CREE LEDs. Sure bright and should be long lasting.

Good day.

Anyone know how to open the dashboard and change the head unit player? I plan to install the bypass/Freetv socket but cannot find guides from internet.
*
I also want to do that but still got no time to explore how to remove those trims.

When i installed at the shop.. they remove the trim at the meter and removed the player from the back way.
*
You mean by removing the meter trim can reach the HU cable from the back?

Does anyone know the head light LED light bulb specification? Planning to change to a more brighter one๐Ÿค”
*
It's not possible to change. The original LED is build in the headlamp together with large heatsinks.

2) I chk the bottom of the car (under carriage) and i notice lots of the body metal are actually bare and not covered with anti rust coating ( Eg, Fuel Tank). Even the area where the suspension coil where it meets up with the body frame, when u look from the mudguard. Is that normal and what about your car? Perodua skimp on this areas?

Hopefully can get some feedback from fellow owners.
*
Those are anti rust. And the fuel tank is actually plastic.

Just went for 10,000km service at SC:
- Changed both rear spring coils
- Changed engine oil (fully synthetic 0W-20)
- Oil filter and gasket
- they applied battery terminal protector, greasy oil everywhere around the battery dry.gif

About the battery terminal protector, i thought is just a cover and in the end it's greasy oil. i regret choose not to include during service.  doh.gif  doh.gif
*
It's better not to include the battery terminal protector. The oil will attract a lot of dust and dirt around the terminals. Unless you worry about acid leaking from the battery.

hey bro,

i feel for you

i hav a car scratch (very damn clear) mark on my right rear door, its the kind where its kinda like u take a paper clip, straighten up it, and scratch the car, can see the mark clearly a motion done by forward and back  cry.gif

whoever done it must be jealous of people with new car (though its not expensive car) or dislike myvis tongue.gif
any good product to fix it?  hmm.gif
*
If it is just clear coat scratch (scratch appear gone with running water), you can try meguiars ultimate compound. So far it works for me. Don't get the scratchX as it is less powerful.

I just removed the HU bracket to install TV free cable. For those who don't want to buy the bypass cable, can also diy loop the tv free wire lead as shown to ground.

Also, I put plenty of thin silicone tapes over the chrome trim clips as well as the silver plastic trim clips to make sure squeak and rattle free dashboard.

Hi bro dont mind me asking, to open the Hu bracket, start from which side ya?
any screw to remove? Nervous abit to remove scared accidentally patah something cry.gif

Here are the steps and do refer to the picture above: (no screws for the plastic trim and HU bracket)

1. Adjust the steering wheel to the lowest position.
2. Put the wiper and signal stalk to the lowest position as well.
3. Remove the black plastic trim as shown with the yellow outline first. It's easier to pull out from the right side first (red arrows). Use plastic pry tool or just finger nails (cover your finger nails with thin cloth so you won't scratch or damage the plastic) to pull. After pulled out all the clips, remove the trim by lifting it up.
4. Around the upper left side of the instrument cluster (green arrow) you will notice a orange coloured clip. Reach in and use your finger to push it out from inside. Use your other hand to help pull the trim from outside. After that, you will be able to remove the whole piece of bracket as shown with pink outline.
5. Remove the hazard light wire harness from the bracket.
6. The HU is secured with 4 screws (2 on each side).

It's very unlikely you can patah something up to this point. If you want to go further like me to separate the chrome and silver trims, then yes, those clips as shown on my previous post can patah so be very careful.

Above is for those who don't want to buy the TV bypass cable. At the back of the HU, look for the cable bundle that looks like above pictures. Notice that the cable colours may not be the same as yours. Just loop a cable as drawn in green. When the Tv and G is connected (Tv grounded), it is exactly like the handbrake is pulled up.
