I have only copper connection too.The cs and front counter person in TM point said the same thing to me.They have lack of knowledge.

I just tried to let the technician put my line on 4M to have a try for some day.If it works well,I will then directly upgrade the package to 4M-currently is 2M combo.

I hope the technician could help me set it up in this evening. tongue.gif

TM told me to upgrade to 4M there is downtime of 3+ days. I did not want to go without internet for 3+ days. Also, I know that the 4M line will have same international issues so it would be pointless. 4M will not help surfing, gaming, etc..

If you are using 1Mbps,it will give you a 3+ days of downtime.IF you have already 2Mbps,I think your dslam could be easily set to 4M.

About the international issue, some of 4M users say that they have less problem. So I just try it because now I have paid RM140 per month, upgrade to 4M will only cost another RM20 per month. Not a big deal, but it is possible to bring some change. tongue.gif

i think im still on the 2mbps , last time i can only download at 150kb/sec , nows up to 212kb/sec .

I called TM ,they say something about already setting up the jumper or the port and a technician would be coming to my house to check on something . Is it normal ?

I hope they do it quick man , my 2mbps is RM188/month , i feel cheated.

Well, what you said is just follwing the normal procedures of TM.Actually the technician will only come to check whether the line quality could satisfy with the requirement to meet 4M.Once he comes and confirms the line quality,he will just make some calls to adjust the port speed for you.

I hope the man could visit your house asap.Good luck! smile.gif

i just contacted the apparent technician for my area . He said they are using OLD PORT something 8001 8002 series or something , Cant support 4mbps . Then they say 4mbps my margin would be bad . Trying to persuade me not to upgrade . I'm really piss at their attitude .

Now they are saying they didn't receive any order . They really are a bunch of useless people . They keep changing their stories . Jeeze

Yup, I think the technician transferred to another set of ports for your line.
But, the port speed, still need to reconfigure before technician come to your house for the testing

Man what a letdown. The technician said my line can only support 2Mbps, despite being one of the earliest 4MBps supported areas. (Taman Tun)
What if I ask them to change my port, would it be possible to get 4Mbps?

So expensive..
My 1.5mbps package is still RM88..
Unless they fixed the every 2-3 month happen 1-7 days of high high ping unable to surf, then I'll upgrade..

Anyone having their speeds capped. It seems that the maximum that I can go is around 1.2Mbps.
