30 july klcc pc-fair apply for 4M. Waived installation fees

until yesterday (oredi 3weeks) someone calling and tell me that my area (setapak) don't have 4M, max 1M....


izzet really need 3 weeks to check with TM that my area have 4M or not?

tomorrow will someone come to house and installed the modem but as what MENTION ABOVE if someone come to house and install have to pays for the installations fees????

SO THIS STORY TELL ME DONT GO TO PC-FAIRS APPLY ANYTHING CAUSE THEY ONLY CHEAT CONSUMER, THEY WILL TRY EVERYTHING TO DO THERE BUSINESS AND NO MATTER WHAT THEY WILL PROMISE.

i'm planning upgrade my streamyx to 4mpbs

streamyx currently promotions streamyx wifi @ home and i would like to know what is the different between the add on service.

call plan RM28 and RM10. it is the same?

have u try use the 4mbps acc on your 1mbps line? what ip range u got from that? because I saw someone use 1mbps acc on his 4mbps acc then he got normal ip other than the premium ip. wonder if inverse it.

My case is sux....
I upgrade my line to 4M combo at TMpoint.
They told me that my area got service but duno why canot support.
The exchange is just less than 50 steps from my house only....
Haiz... Sad csae.... This is the result i got after waiting for one week.

Is the Combo RM 160 4mbps promotion still on? I am considering changing my P1 to the streamyx RM 160 4mbps

IP range is assign through Streamyx account, not DSLAM port. I used my 4Mbps account on 1Mbps line, I will simple got 218.111.X.X IPs. Same case to 1Mbps account on 4Mbps line, eventually I'm connected with 115.133.X.X IPs

Look normal? I'm using 4Mbps package and this is not even 50% of my subscribed speed..EVERYDAY during peak hours this is my average d/l speed..

Already file complain to them and the problem still persists almost a month..

previously i have this condition too.

that time, my download to anywhere international was slow...
say 0.2 down 0.4 up to any international server. ping were about 200ms, which made me wonder what had happen.

local was perfectly fine.

i assumed it was a APCN2 problem and was told it was a APCN2 problem by TM's flying squad, but now it seems like it's a capping job by TM.

and now it's done locally too.

but strangely it only happens during those so-called "peak hours" - weekdays from 8pm - 12am and whole weekend..

As a working adult, i can only use my internet access/ online gaming after 6pm, and during weekend. Then this is the period where i'm encounter slow connection speed..

As usual TM ppl said it is congestion during peak hours usage, due to recent APCN2 faulty, where they have to re-route 4Mbps port with others subscribers..but man i'm paying RM160 every month and this is what i 've been deserved?

filed a dozen complain to them but yet to yield any solution from them..looks like i need to personally go to their office and meet their head to highlight my frustration, instead of calling/ email them..

TM.Nut is currently renting another carrier for their bandwith so traffic to USA is kinda FAKAP, this is one of my torrentflux servers in europe. So far so good ip range 218.111.18.XXX

WHAT IS MY PROBLEM then?
since last friday my download speed slow down from normally 450-500kbps to around 120kbps.

what strange is,
first 2 minutes everytime i restart my internet connection
it download around 450 kbps
after 2 minutes,it slow down to 120kbps

everytime i start download with IDM,
my dsl and lan keep blinking.
when i stop,the light become stable.

i wonder is that my modem problem or tm streamyx problem.
call them and try everything,still same.

packet loss is the biggest issue currently. If 25% of your packets are being lost, they have to be re-transmitted. This increases pings, and makes downloads stutter. If you're losing 25% of your packets before you even leave Malaysia, chances are you will lose even more packets when being routed through the international community.

This is a tell-tale sign of an overloaded network. Packet loss happens because a piece of hardware cannot respond in a timely manor to the request it has been given. Packet loss is even worse than high pings because of the re-transmission involved. A user will hardly notice a few hundred milliseconds, but they will definitely feel the pain of a re-transmission.

A failed packet takes over one full second to transmit. Let's say you have a 100 packet file. That will be 25 extra seconds of downloading at a 25% packet loss rate. A 100 packet file is barely the size of an MP3.


TMNet = overloaded. International community is not the issue, Malaysian infrastructure is.
