Man what a letdown. The technician said my line can only support 2Mbps, despite being one of the earliest 4MBps supported areas. (Taman Tun)
What if I ask them to change my port, would it be possible to get 4Mbps?

Suddenly my speed has been upped to 2Mbps from 1.5Mbps. sweat.gif
I don't get it. I applied for 4Mbps and after I was told the application was approved, I noticed higher d/l speed (from 175k/b max to 210 k/b max) the day after or so. I think they were testing the line or something?

Then when the technician came to 'install' my 4Mbps he said my line cannot get 4Mbps.

On the service acceptance form my 'SNR Checking' is stated as 14db, and 'Attenuation' is 48db.
When I login to my modem:

Surely this is good enough for 4Mbps?

Now my speed is back to 1.5, no more freeloading on 2Mbps.
It was capped to 2Mbps after I applied for 4Mbps. Technician came, said my line not 4Mbps capable but somehow they didn't revert to previous 1.5Mbps cap... until yesterday when my DSL light kept blinking non stop. Called their 100 line and to cut a story short the technician said my previous DSLAM is problematic so he's gonna change it to a different one. He called it 'A5' as in 'A five'. In verbatim "DSLAM a5 ni memang selalu problem". Whatever that means.

I'm gonna apply again for 4Mbps.
