QUOTE(Flame Haze @ Oct 14 2009, 05:04 PM) Hello guys. I'm 14 years old this year and i decided to get a prepaid credit card ( or debit card) because i want to do a spot of online shopping. My parents refuse to order things for me ( guess they're too paranoid... 1) You will need to goto bank and get your parent approval for underage debit card so you have full accessHere are my questions : 1) Where can i apply for / buy the prepaid CC if it isn't available in the 7-11 outlet in my area? 2) After posting the application form, how long have i have to wait for it to be activated and for the PIN code to be sent to me? 3) Some are complaining that MOL Freedom fails to be verified with PayPaL. Is this true? If so, how to verify it? 4) Do all 7-11 outlets have the starter pack of MOL Freedom Prepaid CC for sale? Some are complaining that the outlets in their area do not have it. 5) Do i need an adult's signature to apply for it? Hope to get some answers soon. Thanks 2) about read the FAQ 3) it works with paypal as i am currently using 1 (going to terminate due to Maybank is cheaper) 4) not all 7-11 has it as it is limited 5) don't remember so But bare in mind that MOL card charges are high... u need to pay per year, buying the card & RM 2 per top-up |

QUOTE(vin_ann @ Oct 19 2009, 01:50 PM) A much more higher authority of debit card (and spending limit) would be Privilege/Priority Banking customers; both Alliance Bank and Standard Chartered Bank has that. Even Maybank too however you must be an account holder of their Premier Account Categories. However, there is a catch. Subscription to the card requires your deposit into the Alliance Bank Hybrid Account (specially for the Debit Mastercard the bank issues) of a minimum RM20,000. The standard non Platinum debit card from Alliance Bank is also available. That requires only a deposit of RM500 at minimum. The difference between both Platinum and Standard is that Platinum gives a 0.5% higher cash rebate than Standard (which is only 1%). On the other hand, Alliance Bank Priority Banking member's Debit Mastercard gives the highest cash rebate for all debit cards which stands at 2%. The bad thing I don't really enjoy about Maybank Debit Cards is that every RM3 = 1 treatspoints. A rip off from what they give to RM1=1 treatspoints for Credit Card holders. Also there is no cash rebate too. Check out their website Alliance Bank Malaysia and Maybank for more info. This post has been edited by FayeChan: Oct 22 2009, 12:51 AM |

QUOTE(mo_meng @ Oct 22 2009, 05:46 PM) one simple question, can i use debit card when go overseas? Yes. You can. But for Maybank cherry VISA debit card, you need to activate the card for overseas usage at any Maybank ATM nationwide. As for Public Bank Day2Day VISA debit card, no activation is needed. |

You can choose to activate it permanently. You can also set your daily ATM withdrawal and purchase limit over the ATM. Good luck ! |
