citibank ATM locater
Yes. That's right. They have only 7 branches in Malaysia and all the ATM are located inside the bank. They have confirmed to open 4 more branches next year but still no news where these 4 new branches are going to be.

same as credit card can use to purchase something at merchants/ online purchasing, it is electronic purse.
But the 'amount/ money' u using debit card is deducted from your saving/current account, credit card is using your future money and you pay after.
debit card normally more easier to apply as it does not require salary proven. but it is less fraud protection.

and, 'future' money nanakopy87 meants is not my (my lowyat ac name) money laugh.gif

Hello guys. I'm 14 years old this year and i decided to get a prepaid credit card ( or debit card) because i want to do a spot of online shopping. My parents refuse to order things for me ( guess they're too paranoid... tongue.gif ) and i don't qualify for a credit card. Somehow, MOL Freedom prepaid card came to my favour. I have surfed the net for some information and i hope i can get help here . Besides, i also have a few queries which i would like to ask after reading several forums such as MOL Forum

Here are my questions :

1) Where can i apply for / buy the prepaid CC if it isn't available in the 7-11 outlet in my area?

2) After posting the application form, how long have i have to wait for it to be activated and for the PIN code to be sent to me?

3) Some are complaining that MOL Freedom fails to be verified with PayPaL. Is this true? If so, how to verify it?

4) Do all 7-11 outlets have the starter pack of MOL Freedom Prepaid CC for sale? Some are complaining that the outlets in their area do not have it.

5) Do i need an adult's signature to apply for it?

Hope to get some answers soon. Thanks smile.gif

If EON Bank is your preferred bank then it is advisable that you apply for EON Bank Combi debit Mastercard instead. What you need to do is to visit any EON Bank branch and open a savings account with them and an EON Bank Combi debit Mastercard will be issued to you right away. For more information on this card please here the link here > EON Bank Combi debit Mastercard

All the foreign banks are allowed to open another four branches next year. For those with a dedicated Islamic banking subsidiary such as HSBC Amanah and OCBC Al-Amin, they can open four conventional branches and four Islamic branches.

Both UOB Bank and Citibank have confirmed they will open four new branches respectively next year. No information where the Citibank branches are going to be but for UOB Bank, the new branches will be in Balakong, Ampang, USJ and Ijok.

When you swipe your debit card, the money will be deducted right away from your account and in the unlikely event of a fraudulent charges made to your debit card, it will be hard for you to retrieve your loss.

Unlike credit card, we are using the bank's money and all credit cardholders have a limited liability of RM250 only. So when your credit card has been compromised and when someone charged RMxxxx into your credit card and you are able to prove it is a fraud, you will need to pay a maximum of RM250 only. This feature is not available for debit card.
