they didnt allow me to do so. They require me to upgrade my package which is super pack 2 to the newest one.

Thru the TV speakers, as expected, it's nothing much. It also has the undesired (to me) but understandable effect of making the overall volume softer compared to other modes like stereo.

Thru my relatively simple 5.1.2 system (not a soundbar), it sounds quite nice and atmospheric; kind of like being in a stadium with the sounds from the crowd around you.

My concern is they embedded netflix standard. I dont know whether i can switch to netflix 4k. That number one, number two, if i revised my plan, my AOTG will be reduced to 2 screens instead of 4 which im having now.

Lol, i thought it's only me that have this HDR issue. I just changed my tv to a Sony TV and didn't get HDR as well. Hopefully Astro will have a good answer for that...

Astro has this rule, where it is compulsory that you must be on either Ulti or Ultra Box when you switch to any new packs that includes Netflix.
Packs that includes Netflix are: Entertainment Plus Pack, Sports Plus Pack, Movies Plus Pack, Premium Pack 2, Premium Pack 3 and Platinum Pack.

Therefore, if you want to switch to the new packs but you insist to remain your existing Astro PVR box, then your only options in choosing new Astro packs are:
Primary Pack, Entertainment Pack, Movies Pack, Sports Pack, and Premium Pack 1

My concern is they embedded netflix standard. I dont know whether i can switch to netflix 4k.
Once you've switch to the new packs upon upgrade to Ultra Box, you can opt for additional +RM10 per month which upgrades from Netflix Standard to Netflix Premium (4K UHD).
You can downgrade back to Netflix Standard anytime. No contract for that.

How to switch off this function? It is pretty annoying as I "listen" to TV most of the time and it will turn off after a few hours. tongue.gif

Received an email from WeCare asking for info like my TV brand and model, and short video of the channels. Sent for one of my TVs and decoders (with Channel 805 video, telling them 825 is not relevant since Astro itself says that is HD only).

Looks like Astro is behaving as if there is really HDR. I also mentioned in my reply that after checking around many other customers are not getting HDR as well and 'warned' that I hope it is not a case of false advertisement which would be an offence.

Called CS a few min ago and found out they have shortened their operating hours to 7pm only! I think it used to be till 11pm or 12am.

CS via WhatsApp is manned by bot only, via phone is till 7pm only and via email takes 2 days for a reply (not necessarily with a solution or is a substantive reply). It is getting worse and worse, but for football fans there is no real (legal) option available. 🤬

Damn... so called all matches with HDR and don't even get to see it. I hope they will actually acknowledge the problem and solve it. It's already the 3rd day of the world cup and still no HDR.

Yes you can, but...

If you subscribe to the new packs that includes Netflix for the first time, then you must opt for either 12 or 24 months contract option of that particular Astro pack. You can't choose 0 month contract option yet.
And if within the contract period, if you change to different Astro pack that doesn't have Netflix bundled in it, or terminate Astro altogether, then you'll need to pay penalty (early termination fee).

So apparently the timing/score graphics for matches are added by each broadcasters (I presume this is so that different countries can add theirs in their own languages). I noticed that RTM would hide the timing graphics each time the replays come on, while Astro would keep theirs up all the time
