FYI, I m using 8500 DDR3
I read one of the topic (1+ month ago, someone ask 7300 or 8500 , most lowyater recommend 8500)

I insist 8500 DDR3 better than 7300 rclxms.gif ,

Shawty, my 8500 cost me RM 355, add RM50, & get from u 8600GT...
*
well, if for 8500GT DDR3, it is better than 7300GT. But if it using DDR2, then very sure that it perform weaker than the 7300GT DDR3...

You cannot do anything about it.
The only thing you must do now is get a good PSU.

Plus, the graphic card is going to bottlenecked with your specs.
Bottlenecked heavily. sweat.gif

In this case, can i blow it using hair dryer if its too hard? Or must plug into system to run it first?
*
Hair dryer can produce static charges, thus, it can kill your graphic card easily.

QUOTE(8tvt @ Aug 13 2007, 11:30 AM)
if we plug out the hsf during the core so hot.. isn't that will ruin the core..
prepare for overheated..
*
Nope, i did that to all my GC even when i'm on AGP, why?
Because it's easier to plug out the HSF while it's hot as the TIM is on liquid form, not in hardened mode.

The core will get damaged easier when you plug out the HSF when the TIM is hardened. smile.gif

just to further clarify in case got some people who reads this is a super n00b....

....make sure u do this while the PC is OFF!! dun do it while the card is plugged in then the pc is on and running.

that one will definitely kill the card

Ic, thanks alot. I will test it out and see how much difference does it make. To clarify things better, how many screws i should remove to remove the cooler?

LOL I took out the hsf for my 8600gt w/o warming up the TIM. Too impatient. Waited 2 weeks to get the card and cant wait to get the pc setup. The only tough part for me was scrapping the yellow TIM off the core and heatsink. Yes, i used a small flat-head screwdriver and slowly scrap the TIM off. Didnt occur to me to use something plastic. -.-

Another method could be to set the fan to spin at the lowest speed. Then load a game, play for a min, then shut down pc and remove the hsf. That way the heatsink wont be cooled so fast.

Well, if i can remove the HSF from the core, i guess i would have no problem to scrap the TIM off right?I can do that using the Arctic Cleaners right?

i recommend you mod a bit...

use a cheaper psu just to power the GFX card

meaning use an external PSU to power up the gfx card

at least you can save yourself few bucks

will it be safe to use a cheap psu to solely power up 8800 card? for me larr, i wouldn't want unclean power to power up something i spent so much on..

remember, psu is like the heart of the pc. psu hancur, e'thing else also hancur.. dangerous..

supposed you should get yourself a really good psu, then only you think about the others..

just my 2cents
