There's a new 158.45 driver out today, for 8800 users. Fixes for the DX10 CoH patch i presume. Gonna test it when i get back home later.
*
The 158.45 is a beta driver. sweat.gif

notice the 3D Mark 05 main window...the card is detected as an 8600GTS.
*
As you all can see, the 8600GT Ultra Edition is actually an 8600GTS.
I'm not sure why colorful rename it as 8600GT Ultra Edition, but it's really a real 8600GTS. smile.gif

btw what the different between them beside the gt ultra has slightly lower clock speed than gts
*
Nothing.
The only differences is the clock speed.

Normally 8600GTS is clocked at 700MHz.
While the Colorful 8600GT UE is clocked at 650MHz.

Clock the GT UE to 700MHz, and you got yourself a 100% true 8600GTS.

Where can find a 8600GTS at the price tag of below RM550? laugh.gif
No other brands offer that.

Only Colorful. icon_idea.gif

Just wanna know does the bundle of the colorful 8600gt ultra comes with any programme to overclock the card?Is it stable if I were to overclock it to 700mhz?Meaning like I let it be while I'm downloading overnight or something?I'm really impressed with the results at stock speed already though just wanna know whether it can tahan if overclock 50mhz more.
*
Nope.
It does not come with any program to overclock the card.

No graphic card comes with any program to overclock it.
The easiest way is to use Rivatuner. smile.gif

50MHz?
LOL, dude, 50MHz doesn't affect much in heat lar. laugh.gif
Even if it does, it will only affect either 0.5°C - 1°C only. smile.gif

With that little overclock, yes you can live your system running overnight without any sort of problems. smile.gif

GC what?
I didn't have any 8600GT @ 2600XT.
I only have 8800 Ultra & 2900XT. laugh.gif

What do you want me to test?
You can see by yourself that the Colorful 8600GT Ultra Edition even beat MSI 8600GTS. laugh.gif

What more you want? laugh.gif

i wanna see how 8600gt Ultra surpasses 8600gts.
*
Look here: http://img143.imageshack.us/my.php?image=3dmark5oq4.jpg

Yes, the 8600GTS in this picture is running on 700MHz while the benchmark i've done is at 760MHz.
What i'm trying to point out is that, this Colorful 8600GT Ultra Edition could surpass any 8600GTS anytime if you know how to tweak with it.

And please remember, that guy benchmark his 8600GTS in windows XP.
While i benchmark in Windows Vista.

Just imagine what would the score be if i benchmark using windows XP.
The score could go way up higher than you see in the benchmark results i've posted. smile.gif

refer to the card's clocks on both shawty's and mine.... he OCed his 86...mine was running stock...

i did try OC to around 680/1100 and my marks were near shawtys (more or less cant remember....)

which is whats making me itchy to try and OC the card again wakakkakakak
*
Dude, since you're on windows XP, try to OC the card to the level that i oc'ed my card.

This way, we could see the true 3Dmarks Results. smile.gif

Kalau nak gempak lagi, OC processor ko sampai sama ngan speed processor aku, pastu tunjuk berapa tinggi result benchmark dalam windows XP.

Jangan terkejut esok ada result benchmark dari aku guna windows XP.
Malas plak nak format hdd 80gb aku yang tgh tersadai tu. sweat.gif

I don't have those games.
But then, even if i do, how to compare with other cards such as 8600GTS?
As i don't have any 8600GTS'es in my room.

If i do, i would have start torrenting a COH and start the game benchmark by now. smile.gif

I'm using the same 3dmark05 1.3.0, but i don't see any problems running it on my system.
Perhaps there's something wrong with your system.

Your vista is fully updated? hmm.gif
