Nvidia has released a beta version 158.42 Vista driver for GeForce 8800-series graphics cards. The driver is available for both Windows Vista x86 and Windows Vista x64. Nvidia claims this driver adds support for SLI multi-GPU technology in DirectX 10 applications, improves both single-card and SLI performance, and brings compatibility fixes in numerous applications.

i'd go for Galaxy... hmm.gif, actually, it all depends on you. some brand so generous give us quite a load stuff, like original pc games like Asus and MSI did, some like XFX and Galaxy, offer pretty much good overclocker board icon_idea.gif

Takkan.. 8800GTS 640MB got 16fps on 1280x960, 4xAA,8xAF that is so bad...

With many gamers now on 1280x1024 (19" panel) how to get good frames even on hi-end card (for now lah).

I think if use 8600GTS you can have slideshow oredi, better find the God Mode for Lost Planet or else you gonna get killed within 3 seconds of starting the game.

Meanwhile I will hunt for more benchies on this...

Its still a demo. Most demo will have uncomplete/bad coding. So its still early to make any assumption.

Having gone through the nvnews thread the FPS isnt so bad after all. Depending on the quality settings (and considering that its the 1st dx10 demo) the demo is playable. Just like Oblivion which pwns current generation cards.

There is also the fact that you need to keep your DX10 updated in order to play. What I really interested is to see 8600GTS performance on this demo. Perhaps if the performance is not too far off from a 8800 we can assume that its the demo itsself that probably needs more work, rather than the fact that the GC is not good enough.

8800 series card has not much difference in between brand actually, so any brand would do............ as all came from the same maker

so left down bundle software and some accessories only

MSI and EVGA does offer something better of OC version..........

Oblivion pwns current gen cards? Oblivion is peanuts already even on current gen cards. I max out all the gfx options, 2560x1600 resolution n still the most demanding outdoor areas r showing 40-50 FPS which is plenty good. The less demanding areas average 100+ FPS. Oblivion is no big deal for current gen cards.
