Whow... can't wait anymore... after seeing the 2900XT review and charts from 3dguru... I think I'll stick with 8800GTS... cheaper.. and most important.. not Watt hunger My Enermax is only 485Watt lorr....

Anyway... quite confuse on which brand of 8800GTS to take.. so many la available... from MSI, BFG, Asus, XFX to Colourful, Galaxy and eVGA.

Argh the fan on my 8800GTS not running smoothly. It seems that sometimes it vibrates and causes grinding sound. The thing is cooling performance is excellent idling at 50 degree. So is it worth it for me to sound for it to get checked/rma which would take sometime?

MSI have dual link and more acc., which galaxy dont have.

after browsing through a few 8800Ultra from MSI and palit and galaxy, whoa they all look the same one except the sticker label on top of the fan, wonder are them using the same PCB and components?

Can I know what is the differences between OC-ed VGA and non-OC-ED VGA? Besides its clock speed and core are faster, anythings else? We can also do this through non-OC-ED 1 right?
And also, if i have an OC-ED VGA can i still OC it?
for an example i have a EVGA e-GeForce 8800GTX 768MB Superclocked, can I still overclock it by using water cooling to cool it?

Hope you all get what i meant...

If i got wrong statements on those OC-ed thingy please correct me..

not bad my friend... your bench result looks ok... I think if i get a 8600GT, the score will reach somewhere around 9 to 10k...
so tempted.... what brand u are using? factory oc or stock speed like the reference?

any improvement on that rig would be watercooling it.

will consider the xt after i see what after market cooling can achieve or hows the performance in water..... ps.. dont discount a certain ianho.. kekeke..

anything after this is either 80nm or less.. so dont really care until gaming performance sux.
the gtx was fine and all but just thought get the best G80 that i can get.
the xfx edition i didnt want it as its at ridiculous price which might just be numbed if u put a watercooling hsf on it... maybe no more headroom on that. so opted for the asus since i wanted stalker ori game and so did my bro.. long story

hi guys, im not sure if this is the right thread, and atm im at work so cant search through the hardware forum if its posted or not...

but i have an issue with my 8800 GTX here, it just keeps on crashing when im playing World of warcraft. and i can confirm that its the gfx card because the graphic suddenly went off but my sound and everything else still working fine, can even continue talking on ventrilo too (voice comm program) until a while later on then fully crash.

almost guranteed to happen everyday but very random.

i downloaded ntune and checked the temperature and its a whooping 80-90c idle avg 85 c... wtf? or its normal? im running windows vista ultimate btw... and cstkl1 also mentioned that vista being permanent running on 3d clock... could it be the cause? please help...

also theres the evga step up program, not sure if im available for it but im asking the person that i bought the bulk from (bata), hopefully i am so i can just change the gtx to the ultra and hopefully have this prob fix... (could be card defects, or prolly driver or just bad heat dissipation/airflow... also getting a strong intake fan btw)

may i ask what is the oc setting u guys use for 8800gts 320mb??? currently the 1 i bought is running at 550/900, factory oced... but it seems like almost at its limit with 900mhz at rams... what the rams speed u guys do usually??? it's running with stock cooler btw... anyidea, if any1 selling fans that can replace the existing crappy fan of the stock cooler??? like those use in artic cooling silencer...
