They screw up my bill too. These entire section in the bill used to be RM219 - RM70, which is RM149. But, they have given a "Discount HSI" at the top of the bill worth RM38.29. However, it was in previous month date.

The only similarity between u and me is that, they have adjusted the HyppTV packages for us. This is because both of us subscribed to Jumbo Pack + one more extra pack. They have removed the extra pack and left only Jumbo Pack, since the Jumbo Pack now includes everything.

Most of the users nowadays using a dual band router even for their 10Mbps package. So it is not considered an overkill, it is considered as future proof your home network with better routers. Overkill simply means, you buy an overkill router with overkill performance, but only use the internet for surfing to facebook and youtube. Perhaps you only utilize 1% of the feature in the overkill mentioned router.

If you don't care about the budget, then you can opt for an asus dual band router.

Asus RT- AC1200G+ = RM389
Asus RT-AC1300UHP = RM 539
Asus RT-AC58U = RM 415 (Jayacom).

If you are on the budget, you can opt for TP-LINK Archer C7v4

If you don't wish to spend money on new router, perhaps, you can give tm a call to ask to change your router in the terms of either, extend your contract + pay RM53 of service charge, or buy the router from tm at full price. (not recommended as their c1200 router is have average performance).

yep, recent activity by unifi in changing the hypptv pack have made the billing go hay wire.

Made a call last week to 100 to complain, been passed from billing officer to sales n promotion officer after they say nothing wrong with the bill . Their sales says my bill is also correct haha, then passed back to billing section.

immediately i know that their biiling & sales is not synchronized.

Then shoot an email complain to tm with cc to mcmc, n you know what immediately after that received sms says i got rebated .

so, its solved for now until the next surprise come again from them..ill sure they will be another, haaha

To be honest with you, I've used Asus RT-AC58U only. But the performance of the router is good. Both AC58U and AC1300UHP are MU-MIMO router. Performance of the wireless is slightly above average and suitable for large homes especially if you're living in a double story houses. I read good reviews on the RT-ac1300UHP also. All the mentioned router has awesome performance. The matter of choice is the price and budget. If i were you, I will opt for AC1300UHP. If your budget is around RM450, then ac58u ftw.

Did you mention that you are using the AC87U?

If so losing AiProtection is a big deal. Plus the above routers are in a different tier hardware specs snd features

Most definitely rclxms.gif

The GT-AC5300 or the RT-AC86U is the upgrade option. And use your existing AC87U as an AP. The range from both these new routers are better than all of the existing ASUS routers because of the new Broadcom wifi chip.

Same. I've been told by the TM Personnel that it is because of the HyppTv event recently that made the bill gone haywire. The TM Personnel has helped me to lodged a report and I've been told that it took about a week to get a feedback.

My place doesn't support 50Mbps. I'm on 30Mbps paying RM179. I'm not qualified for RM139 promotion as it is only for new users. I'm also not qualified for the RM10 speed upgrade.

It's freaking unfair that i'm stuck in between and probably the stupid one still paying RM179 for 30Mbps while many are either paying RM139 or speed bump to 50Mbps for RM189. Never once receive any SMS from TM for any sort of promotion.

Now no more RM139 for 30Mbps, its RM179 so even if you complain they will just say new customer also pay RM179 so they can't give you discount. TM got smart and increase the price so people can't complain anymore.

In any case, if your unhappy then just go to TMpoint and say you want to make a complain and want discount because your friend, family, untie or uncle pay less for 30Mbps so you want same price as they got. You may or may not get a discount, depending on how generous and hard working TMpoint employees are. If they still say cannot, ask to speak with manager or supervisor, then tell them the same thing, want discount because untie uncle bla bla you get the point.

If die die also cannot get discount then just be patient and wait for future price promo for unifi and eat maggie mee or cancel your internet and don't bother anymore.

My only concern is that my area is not supported, and due to this, never qualify for any promotion. They don't usually change the price of your current package as I've been with TM for over a decade now. The only thing they offer is package upgrade, which then they told me my area is not supported...so until God knows when, if I did not cancel and reapply during promo, I'll end up paying RM179 for 30Mbps. That's RM480 + GST per year to TM blindly...

I guess the next round of promo, i'll just cancel and reapply unless I manage to get a discount at TM Point. And by any chance if it drops again to RM119 or something, I'll need to repeat this since i'll never get speed bump

Furthermore, he even told me to cancel my current account and register a new one which I told him no thanks because my line is perfect so why waste time installing a new one. He then agreed to alter my current account so no need to register a new one. Took about a week but he managed to do it.

So now I'm paying a lot less (more than RM80 discount, don't want to be too specific) from the current price. Apparently the perpetual discount (Promo Discount Perpetual) is only valid till 28/2/18. Not sure if there's going to be a new promo but he was rushing to get mine done to get the perpetual discount.

Perpetual discount means after 2 years (standard contract duration) the discount will still remain indefinitely, so the discounted price will remain forever.

tl;dr Want better price for your unifi? Talk to the supervisor or manager and do it nicely. They will help you but only if you talk to them in a polite and civilize manner.

This month I got the latest discounted price (last month still getting adjusted price due to prorated) and it's a clear price reduction by discount. It's not a super duper cheap price but it will do for now since it's quite reasonable even with gst. Just try to nego with them and see what happens.

You got 2 choice to do
1)If no contract apply a new one
2)Got contract write complain to MCMC,say you no need the +RM10 upgrade to get promotion for 50Mb,say there are unfair to old customer and maybe you can say you can agree to refresh back 2year contract,because the RM139 plan must change the package name on their system
