Its more got to do of ur status as expat. Its decent for msian but as an expat without epf n only tat standard benefit its actually not even decent or considered as expat. The only thing there is salary exceed 10k u can live confortably here.

I agree. Maybe you are from Indonesia that’s why your expat salary is so low. Last time from my audit work the expats get 30 to 50k salary with tons of allowance. The allowance are high enough that they can rent a condo in kl and drive Mercedes.

Expat still spend as much as Malaysian. it has never been a law saying expat should spend 10x more than malaysian hence should earn 10x more. get sometime to google the meaning of expat, even bangla that build your house is also an Expat by definition.

lol ..actually simepleguy is correct .. by definition expat is just someone who live outside their native country. only by recent years we always refer expat as someone who earn more/higher than locals.

yes that is underpaid. For 7 years of experience, you can get at least RM5k in KL. but that is the price of degree holder, not sure about SPM leavers though. But it shouldn't be as low as RM2500 for an experienced purchaser.

Maybe bcos I have only SPM Very, hence they not willing to give more.

Now my manager ask me to take additional task.
Monitor buyers to work according to SOP and assist her during in audit.
Something like a leader for all buyers.
She didn't mentioned about promotion or salary increase.
I'm thinking how much should ask for increment.

I think it's reasonable to ask to increase to 3k consider your age and experience, since your manager entrust you to look over the team, it means she has certain confidence level in you.

Gotta consider the living cost is creeping up as well.

Any comment on my job especially those from F&B companies? I can say the salary is just okay. Not as high as I expected. I am saving but I just don't think I am saving fast enough.
