Did you check the average bonus?  I hope it is worth it for all the hours that you will be putting in.

Sadly, Im not eligible for annual bonus. However, there are performance and other variable bonuses.

If you are earning around RM4000, would you consider going to SG with SGD2400? hmm.gif

Commitment still the same, no difference.

Job in Singapore - Sales

Hi

I did consider the above scenario a couple of years back. Decided against it.

The questions you'd have to ask yourself are:
1. SGD2.4k is entry level, if not marginally lower. Are you willing to go back to the bottom of the food chain? Consider your age & experience.
2. With that amount of SGD, can you maintain the same lifestyle you have in MY? If no, are those sacrifices you are willing to make?

In the end it is a very personal preference, and mine was to stay put in MY.

Cheers,
J

I wouldn't. Rent in SG is expensive. Transportation ain't cheap either. Food is slightly cheaper in number terms, but not enough to offset accommodation cost.

Give more breakdown lar, as per my original post. 1 single number for salary is really quite useless if you ask me.

Nice. See, that's what I am talking about. 8.3K is not much by /k standards, but your perks and bonus are definitely something here. Imagine comparing to another job that only pays RM 10k, but have nothing else. Yours is definitely better.

For Medical, how much coverage? Family coverage?

If you live in Klang Valley or KL/Selangor areas, even RM 10k also not enough huhuhu.

S$2400 is bare minimum living in SG.

i would only consider it if it's S$3600 or above.

Although, if you don't mind having a downgrade in quality of life, you can survive with S$1200 and save the rest. Accommodation wouldn't look pretty @ S$500.
