I'll spend max 2 years and jump to other company. Can I know, how much is your increment?
*
Started as fresh grad engineer(maintenance) with 2.5k(cannot claim ot). After probation ended i did not get any increment. However, two month after probation ended i personally asked my boss to increase my salary to 3.5k and he obliged. After a year i jumped to another company and was offered 4.1k and entitled to claim ot. Now my average gross salary is around 4.8k-5.2k.

I don't work in mnc, aka slow company, and I have more than 10 offers in my belt. They don't care how much you jump, as long as you impress them with your skills
*
I agreed, especially the employer is desperate, they don't care how much you jump or ask for reason for leaving.

i think the point is, if u good enuf (by being dam smart based on what he able to achieve in such short period of time) then u will be the 1 who pick not being pick, so jumping 10 or 100 times its totally a non factor

For 4 years is fine. For age maybe can consider jumping

Are u ready for new technologies? Have u been practicing and keeping up to date with new technologies?

Working in international school, may limit your knowledge and job scope

Going into mnc could be overwhelm for u. Maybe I'm wrong
*
I guess working in a school does limit my future employment choices. I am ready to jump ship but never got a call back from any companies that i applied to. Ahh now i regret the work choice my younger self made

Is ok. Don't regret. Turn that into your advantage.

Say you are familiar with what school needs and can provide recommendations upgrade to any school. Must impress your potential employer that u are resourceful

All depends how u carry yourself

it is all about how to bluff and sell yourself during the interview. Skills and others can learn later but the very first step is get into the company you desire first, which is via interview session.

I don't think you will want to try anything lower than your salary now.
The pay is quite good for your age group.

You should be getting at least 3.5k
Speaking from experience, you don't want to stay long in family-run businesses.

Are you familiar with AWS? willing to learn?
My ex-company looking for someone with your background. PM me if you're interested. 4k to 6k.

Even in penang this job can get at least RM3200 for fresh graduate. Get out from family run business and try to get a MNC. jumping from small company to MNC can get you 20% to 50% increment at least.

Sometimes people are desperate for jobs and they fall into the traps by small companies, ended up with minimal salary and tons of workload. I think youngster nowadays should get more exposed to the average salary of their jobs so they won't get exploited by most of the black-heart small companies.
