What's the possibility of earning 10k in Kuching? Can IT or engineer achieved it?

Probably O&G related can still get that pay. Is there any big IT companies stationed there? If not I don’t think so

3yrs experience...your gross take home at ~RM4.75k...26 yrs old...I don't think this is underpaid. Better than a lot of people IRL (but of course not better than most in this thread, due to self-selection bias).

Am i underpaid? Normal working hour is 8.30 - 5.30 but i usually work from 9.30 to 11/12am

Even Miri can achieve that amount. My previous colleague work as Technical Superintendent (manage vessels/ships) already get 9-10k per month. The head of region can earn 20k ++.

Thought you should have aware of the work hours when you signed up for audit 😂

Manager level of course need to work after office hour. Even need to come to office on weekend if necessary.

For audit line that workin hour is normal.

Bonus, does your company give once per year sekali or separate into twice per year half half the amount?

My company one shot. Some company give half starting of the year, then April - June another half to make sure employee don't just leave after taking bonus.

audit AM 5.2k is little low compared to Big4, if u still want to stay in audit for few years more, suggest go to Big4. in Big4 i think audit AM easily RM6k/6.5k.

Opportunity as in? To me if you are good, you can make it anywhere career wise.

Of course the difference is the lifestyle.

i don’t think there is more opportunity in Singapore. Over there you are just a bangla. 4K in MY is always better than 2.4K in SG. Heck i would’ve even go as far to say 3k in Malaysia is comparable to 2.4K in Sg
