Let me know what everyone think of this? It's using Celcom's network so I assume coverage should be alright.

Pricing however can be better... but you can choose what you need or don't need.

2000 minutes call for rm12 is damn cheap.

100gb data for rm150 also quiet nice for those who dont have good digi coverage.

I think it's a monthly term plan. Apparently using all of celcom's network upto 4G?

Just ported in my number for a plan with
10GB internet
100 min calls
50 sms

for RM60/mo. Not the cheapest but suits what I need, minus the 5gb+5gb weekend bullshit that i absolutely hate.

Will see how it performs (celcom network) when it arrives!

I use the Digi ambassador 68 plan. If you make more than 100 minutes of calls, this is even better. No weekend weekday data bullshit too. But no free sms.
*
that's cool, did not know about it. How do I sign up? there's no mention of ambassador plan on their website?
Also, where's your location and how's the coverage/stability? Main reason i'm porting out of umobile is because of the terrible stability in my signal. I'll get stuck on E for the entire day sometimes and not able to use even Waze.

this constraint seems to be a deal breaker to me..
I guess because there is no credit in the account since it is not prepaid nor postpaid
so if I didn't buy any SMS then I urgently need to SMS then I am stucked?

I use very limited UMobile P78 Plan (don't confuse with latest P79 plan as of today)

-Unlimited quota (Upto i think 1000GB, that's yuuuuge enough for me)
-10GB Tethering (can ehem *bypass* ehem)
-Limited speed upto 5mbps (decent enuff as i'm not heavy user)
-Unlimited call (1 hr per session, call cut off once reach 1hr, can repeat as many session you need)
-Unlimited sms (not sure is there any actual limits)

So far my bills rarely exceed RM90. Good enuff for me.

Coverage i can say so-so, depends on locations, kampung sure die in most case. Town good coverage but not the speed as so many people hogging the limited bandwidth. at 4-12pm speed super haram jadah. can use light app only like whatsapp.

But overall its still ok ler.. i never had quota rage like before. but now got speed rage pula.. adeh..

so should i port into this yoodo sim? is there any better?

Hi, I managed to MNP successfully last weekend. I understand your pain with capturing your face pic. I noticed when I positioned my face directly at the border of the face capture screen, nothing happened or I got a message that my face was too near. So I moved slightly further so that my whole head is in the border and it managed to automatically capture successfully.

Like i say again..any difference between Xpax Kelentong & Yoodoo....?
The addon still same pricing as xpax kelentong.
If Yoodoo not using VPN..what so special except for so call customization...

Currently even Xpax Kelentong..i can customise rm30 for 8GB data...instead of rm30 for 5GB.
And sometime can get addon 20GB for rm7 weekly.

I think if it's just for standby you're better off with Unifi Mobile, no expiry as long as you use it for a chargeable service once every 90 days.

Yoodo still charges you every 30 days and no bringing forward your unused quota

Although you did not include SMS in your original plan, you can still buy the booster add-on midway and that will give you the capability to send SMS.
50 SMS – RM3
100 SMS – RM5
200 SMS – RM8

However this booster add-on's expiry follow your plan's expiry.
For example your plan validity is until 30-Jan. Say you decide to get the booster add-on on the 25-Jan. This booster add-on will expiry the same time as your plan i.e. on 30-Jan.

I have been trying to port out my celcom number for over a week without success. Their support is subpar, and after numerous times kacau, when i ask them only nak bagi ticket report number instead of terus bagi when I lodged complaint.

However, i still have hope for this plan because the rates are really great if you don't need a lot of data (5gb data, 2000min calls, 50 sms for just rm45, that's a pretty good deal)

My second sim which i only subscribe to 50sms per month for cost just rm3, good if u need secondary number for WhatsApp web.

But still damn dulan about the port out

What's the problem with your port out/in? Celcom still hasn't "released" you or Yoodo hasn't ported you in?

I ported out from Celcom to Yoodo too. My problem during that time was that Celcom ported me out, but Yoodo did not port me in. So I was left with no phone connection for a few hours. I contacted Yoodo via their Live Chat and within an hour after that, my Yoodo connection was activated.

So far I am pretty happy with my Yoodo line. I really like that you can customise your plan to suit your needs.

My problem was that i applied for port out but then when i wanted to activate sim it was rejected. Celcom said they never received my request.

Ding dong ding dong two weeks later then Yoodo told me to reinstall my app and resubmit my cc info, then only can. Now waiting for celcom to complete the port out

The two weeks to figure out what's wrong yang tak tahan tu, so damn long

Hi, is there anyone can help, since I haven’t found any offline store yet in Penang?

I’m foreigner who using Digi Postpaid 58 and have deposit RM500, how if I want to port out to Yoodo? Since I have to withdraw my deposit and meanwhile I have to directly port in to Yoodo by app (should be active numbers, hope you can understand what I mean)

And how is your experience by using Yoodo? I look around for preferred numbers, seems like nombor bagus not available (users of Yoodo still minor right?)

Your billing cycle is from the day you activate your Yoodo line until 30 days later. Say u activate your line in mid of Feb, your billing cycle is until mid of Mar. So no need pro rate.

Hi, I believe this is to verify that payment via your credit/debit card can go through. This charge will be reversed.

I had the similar situation when I registered for my account & SIM card last month. When I checked my credit card bill, the rm1 was not charged to my card.

Price same. But i find this telco more attractive as i get constant 4g signal all the time compare to unifi mobile and u mobile. Besides 2000 minutes is almost like unlimited to me with very interesting price of rm 12. So if i just subscribe 2000 minutes with add on 1 gb data monthly i only need to pay rm 22. If initial 2 gb and 2000 minutes plan it will cost only rm 27 monthly.

You already pay rm 12 for total usage of 2000 minutes talk time. If you use 100 minutes monthly you still will be charged rm 12. As for sms, rm 3 for 50 sms monthly. U can choose more , and you pay more.

The problem with this customization is double.edge sword.
How will you consistently using that allocated data..call..SMS monthly?

Keep adjusting frequently to match your usage is bloody crazy.
Telco plan should be working for us ..not we tweak and we pay.

This is crazy.

But if it is possible to bring all unused data...call..SMS Like Data Rollover unlimited monthly will be icing in the cake.

Well i find this plan cheaper compare to u mobile rm 38. First of all the 4gb in umobile hardly utilised coz the signal not very strong and i also have wifi at home and my workplace. As for the minutes of call 2000 minutes is like unlimited to me. I slso can reduce to 200 minutes if my first month usage not more than 200 minutes. The most important reason i choose this telco because i finally can get 4g signal constantly compare to other telco . I dont know why unifi mobile not work out in my home.4g signal not strong.

Yup, no problem.
However, the registration is the annoying part. To register for Facetime/iMessage (i.e. authenticate your phone number with Apple), you will have to send an SMS to US to activate Facetime for this number.
However, you cannot send SMS overseas on Yoodo unless you purchase a Zone A SMS pack (100 sms) for RM5. So make sure you have that purchased before trying to activaet your number or else it won't work.

All the best

You have to buy roaming pack within the app. After you've activated your SIM + plan, there will be a +Add Roaming/IDD below Your Usage area on the main screen.

I think Yoodo is prepaid because Pay First No Money No Talk. Any option you tick billing directly to card real time. Prepaid with card billing system.

Postpaid will call this advance billing but any charge and usage bill month later + one time stamp duty + gst every month

Just got myself a yoodo sim pack, activation is a bit complicated, especially to link the bank's debit card into my yoodo account. Since it is using Celcom, the 4G speed is not so encouraging, signal reception strength flactuating from 4bars to single bar at the same static location. Connection wise, my Hotlink Fast is much better. I am try to see the pricing cost of data, which of these 2 telcos is much economical in a month of usage.

Data I think quite Mahal. If u using 2sim phone, take yoodo for call n sms, then data take tunetalk +vibe rm200. 20gb /monthly for 12 month.

I am concerned about internet stability as it uses Celcom which indeed Yoodo is much cheaper compare to my Hotlink.
In my place, Celcom LTE speed is slower comparing to Maxis and Digi.
In another, I am thinking to mnp my redONE number into this one as well, considering for redone I am paying RM8++ for voice and another additional charges for SMS whereas in yoodo I can customize cheaper a little bit at RM5 for 50mins and RM3 for 50 sms and at that RM8, SMS included. Little, but still a saving.

validity started from the 1st day we successfully activated, 30 days of cycle or from the purchase of any packs (not from the addon boosters).

It's neither! Yoodo is a new hybrid of prepaid and postpaid mobile. What this means is that it has all the functionality and monthly features of a postpaid plan, combined with all the flexibility and easy payment options of a prepaid plan. So no, we’re not a prepaid service. We aren’t postpaid either. We are simply Yoodo. [Yoodo]

What I quoted was Yoodo's reply to one the FAQs.

1) It is something like prepaid but you don't have to topup monthly.
All you have to do is link your CC or DC and it will act like auto debit every month.

2) Billing cycle is 30 days.
No unused data will be carried forward.

Hope this helps.
You can just read up more on the link that I attached above.

the concept if a bit different from the normal prepaid, any purchases of data, voice or sms and monthly payment is fixed by debit/credit card only. They don't have any channel of payments from any channels yet, but to my understanding from their admin, yoodo is not intended to be similar to another prepaid. Mostly they are trying to be unique, between prepaid and postpaid. That is why they call it hybrid.

Almost a month with Yoodo (port in from Celcom First Gold), the value is really matters on how you use your phone. If you need alot of calls time, and average data, I think you can benefit Yoodo Plan. But you need lil calls and more data, I think there are better telco plan out there.

5GB+1200min call time with RM42 (included GST), I got some saving monthly compare to Celcom First Gold (which I unable to fully utilize the data).

I don't know about port in, but sim card and the delivery is free. The card itself during the order, either you prefer to choose your number and what plan or you just order blank card and choose the number and plan later.
Just to remind that mnp approval might not so smooth depending on which telcos you want to port out. I have read some few complaints from their community forum.
Another thing, to have your number activated, debit/credit card is a must as they don't have any other payment options yet. This part a bit tricky as we need to call the bank first to enable the e-commerce function.

nope, this is a prepaid, even sending you the card via pos express with hard envelope for free. The only thing to pay is the plan either data, voice or sms. Just choose how big or how much you want to use for each of the plan.

Thanks, but I only need the voice call for my Nokia 105.

I'm using it as spared phone with Rm5 per month for 50 min call.

It is a postpaid where u have to pay monthly.

U cant use the credit for call unless u subscribe to call plan.

Hey guys,

Should I buy Yoodo or U mobile? Currently looking at u28. Cos Digi and Maxis is more expensive. 2/3GB data is fine for me. I need free calls only. I just want the one that offer the best connection and coverage.

Thanks.

Just for your info, Yoodo is running on celcom's network so yoodo's coverage is definitely better than umobile. For the calls u can choose how much u need to use thumbsup.gif

try to get the cs to assist you, which in case the number already booked during your request, ask them to reserve and send the new sim for you again.

These 2 months I am save a lot without needed to withdraw from my debit account. Being the 10 highest leaderboard for April I am getting complimentary of RM20, for May RM40 and the community superuser at RM30. Such a good reward for that I can buy add-on data at RM10/10GB.

And they are not using poslaju btw, it’s freigtmark, very disappointed with their cs, every time giving same answer

Malaysia is still far away from fully online services

1. New registration by invitation will get the RM20 in the Wallet.
2. From the Wallet can buy the data add-on raya promotion 10GB at RM10 (or spend it all at 20GB for RM20).

The promotion duration is from 16th May 2018 to 17th June 2018. That's the promotion price for data booster RM10 at 10GB. The RM20 is however a fix preload without any expiry, if I am not mistaken.

Each time you purchased any plan or booster there were gst and at the end of the invoice we'll see the gst rebate. Look again into the email sent, the invoice statement is there. Conclusion, with gst and after zeroed gst, the price still remain the same 2000mins voice at RM12.

Base plan is needed to calculate your monthly cycle, whereas the booster will only follow the base plan. The cheaper is sms plan rm3/50sms per month.

yup, but the first thing beforehand you need to reg debit or credit card just to activate the number, but from my experienced that process was not so easy imo. Mine activated before they introduced the rm20 free promo, I am not in good position to confirm this now. But they do have promotion selling 10GB at RM10 now. Better ask the live chat for better understanding.

you are still correct. tried to activate just now. i was required to choose a base plan and pay by card, or otherwise activation could not proceed.

to enjoy the free 2gb, we need to pay at least rm3 first.

RM20 will be credited once you successfully activated. Activation need to buy 1st any monthly base plan either data, voice or sms. From those 3 the cheapest is sms RM3 for 50 sms whice need to debit from our card. By right you haven't activated and pay anything, you are not the 'owner' of the number yet.

First of all, Yoodo is not a MVNO. It is the sub brand of Celcom, just like Xpax for its prepaid brand, Ookyo and Hotlink as a sub brand of Maxis and Tapp a sub brand of Digi.

RedOne and TuneTalk are the examples of MVNO.

My internet speed connection is getting worst, I don't know what is happening to Celcom's network at my area. Started from puasa and up until today, the dload connection only achieved below 1mbps, upload around more than 5mbps. During raya, only around 200-300kbps, assuming that's due to more users flocking the network making it congested.. But now the most of them already gone back to their home, but still the speed is not improving. Already complaint to yoodo cs about this.

If I remember correctly you can receive TAC smses overseas. Better check with the live chat to be 100% sure though.

When you register for a new sim card on the App, choose the port over and enter your phone number. This will start your porting process, and maxis will contact you to confirm that you wish to port over.

how is the speed for you guy? the 4g speed seem very slow.

It is Celcom's, for data I am ditching celcom network and go for digi home broadband plan for my 1st sim slot and yoodo is mainly for voice. Pretty bad since raya and I am getting just few hundred kbps despite full signal bar of 4g.

I'm using Yoodo for mainly data on my iPad and iPhone.

Monthly is 2GB @ RM 12 and top up RM 10 for 10GB for total 12GB per month. Still cheaper than competitions.

Unifi Mobile is cheaper but 3G must pay if no 4G coverage. My 5 spare phones on Unifi Mobile. Already months still on free 20GB data plan. Every 3 months will top up RM 15 per line for 2GB of 3G data.

I am still got almost rm90 in my yoodo wallet, my current base plan purchase is only on voice, 50mins x 2 devices. At this current congestion by celcom's network in my place, data is big no at the moment. For data I am using digi, enjoying the promotion 4gb at rm10.

My amount in the wallet earned from my participation in their community, leaderboard and superuser. The system will deduct from the wallet first, in case of insufficient amount then it will go for our bank debit or credit card.

Just ported in my number for a plan with
10GB internet
100 min calls
50 sms

for RM60/mo. Not the cheapest but suits what I need, minus the 5gb+5gb weekend bullshit that i absolutely hate.

Will see how it performs (celcom network) when it arrives!
*
Now it’s cheaper.

prepaid, even though they are claiming it is hybrid, not a prepaid nor a postpaid. Have to pay first to use for that 30 days cycle, but the payment and each monthly renewal only by debit/credit card facility.

no, it is fix. If you look for data promotion it is in booster plan, slide to the end at 10gb. In before you need to buy something from the base plan, the cheaper will be sms rm3.

agree, been suggested to them few times. They need to implement another payment channel that is without by banking, such as e-pay or any cash transaction by any terminal. Tho we can disable the auto renew from the debit, but not all users have active bank accounts such as students or people doing odd job. Definitely yoodo is losing the prospect customers from that category. The next payment shall be by paypal, that still need to have banking transaction.
Luckily I am still manage to remain in yoodo as I have plenty of money inside the wallet to survive another year 😁

activated, got 20gb free

advanced registration process, not just IC scanning but also face recognition, so that no one can cheat freebies by ordering multi sim cards.

guess this is one new start-up company won some contest then got funded by celcom sth

luckily not drain battery fast like unifi (band issue) or ookyo (vpn issue)

just not speedy 4G (celcom gua) and indoor signal level not high

The minimum rate that we can choose from any of the 3 base plans are:-
RM3 for 50 sms
RM5 for 50 mins voice call
RM 25 for 5GB data.

The minimum rate that we can choose from any of the 3 base plans are:-
RM3 for 50 sms
RM5 for 50 mins voice call
RM 25 for 5GB data.
*
u can choose 2GB by sliding the button between 0 and 5...

Selected 2GB data plan, then activated the SIM and was charged RM12 immediately, when I entered TAC from bank in the payment page for RM1 only.

there was nothing shown about anything would charge to my credit card, thought the RM12 would deduct from the RM20 signup credit.

never inserted/used the SIM card, asked their CS to refund, but denied. so no choice, complaint logged to MCMC dry.gif mad.gif ranting.gif

they should have a page before/after "test" to show amount / for customers to confirm amount charged to card.

anyway, let's see how it goes, i'm confident on my case.

Let say I buy 2000 minutes only which is RM12/month

Down the road, I want to send sms, since my plan don't have sms, which mean I cannot send sms?

They have call Roam Like Home (RLH), limited countries but SG is in the list btw. Minimum denomination is RM10 to be use for data/voice/sms and each purchase is valid to only 24hrs. Not sure how it works as I never used it before.

Be aware that your APN needs to be changed to "yoodo" when using roam like home, otherwise your data won't work at all.
In Malaysia your APN should be celcom3g.

Didn't know this info until i was actually travelling and required the data, ended up couldn't use it. CS refunded me when i complained that this info was not previously known biggrin.gif

I see, apart from roaming what we can gain from using APN yoodo or celcom3g locally? I am using yoodo as what they told us to do. Frankly I don't see any different from these 2 APNs.

yes, booster is an additional plan apart from the base plan. But the validity will ride on the base plan and the denomination of data is not as many as base plan. In normal plan the highest is 8GB at RM40, but now they are currently offer a merdeka promotion, 20GB at RM20 only.

I haven't tried the sms to do any banking transaction, in fact I am not subscribe to any of their sms plan.
What transaction you want to use with sms anyway?

icic, that's their way in 'protecting' users from sending request to 5 digit short sms code, simply they don't want users being accidentally charged from any subscription services. But the bad is, it blocked us from doing any legit means even by our full consent.

booster's expiry date will follow your current base plan, if your plan to be end another 4 days, you have to finish your 20GB at that period, else burnt.

For the next cycle bill you can't buy any booster alone as we have to buy at least any one of the base plans first. The cheapest should be the 50 sms at rm3.

So,
Spend rm3 for 1 month validity.
Use free rm20 to buy booster.

Commitment for this month only rm3.

Pricing however can be better... but you can choose what you need or don't need.

Just select the cheapest rm3 50sms.
Then you buy that add on rm20 for 20GB.

It free by giving you rm20 credit...then if minus rm3 50sms
So still got free rm17 credit mah.

Yup...need credit card or debit card to pay and purchase.
Look at this way...you only pay rm3 for 20GB one time.

And if you like the smoothness of internet.
2nd month...adjust to buy the 2GB RM12 monthly OR 5GB for rm25.

Then just remove the rm3 50sms plan .

Like sifu al_madd say.....turn off auto renewal and customize for the following month.

Since Yoodo give free rm20 credit..it worth to try out lo with rm3 50sms plan which is the cheapest which will deduct from your credit card/debit card..
Then the rm20..buy the addon rm20 for 20GB.

Only rm3 mah for 1st month...even Yoodo delivered the sim card using standard delivery also free.
Once activate...turn off the renewal button.
And customize again for coming month.

If you like it...then can go for cheapest 2GB for mere rm12 or 5GB for rm25.
Then sms or call can be purchase with customization

I found the requirements to selfie before activation really unnecessary.

Pls log complain with mcmc on this practice by forcing customer to take biometric selfie.

There is no such law by mcmc.

Me too got no objection with this verification, it's getting normal and accepted globally.

Perhaps one day in future, when his/her identity was miused by some fishy agents registered multi sim on his/her name without consent. Then this safety protocol might just come into minds then.

Already ask their cs through live chat..it will deduct from fb add on for watching fb video or live video from fb..i think its great..
Only tethering will deduct from our main data..like if we purchase youtube add on 20gb for rm10..it can only be use in our main hp..if tethering..open youtube from another device will deduct our main data..same goes to facebook, instagram and whattsap add on...thats why we need to buy data even only 2gb..if not we cannot buy add on youtube and the rest.

Take note that the selfie procedure is use to make sure it match to the scanned mykad earlier on. There were cases that some users using someone else mykad or selfie to register and their number been barred temporarily due to that.

I'm currently on RO48+, interested to know the roaming option before jumping ship. Reading the FAQ on website, it will cost RM10/day for roaming. Does it reduces our subscribed quota on top of the RM10 charge? For countries not in the RM10, does receiving SMS works? Any extra charges on receiving SMS?

That was fast, paid RM1 for delivery and it reached me just now. Did a MNP registration but I've chosen a 5GB plan, ohwell, couldn't find where to switch to lower plan but heck, will do that next month. Going for Yoodo because of the roaming and SMS roaming which RO doesn't have for the country am going next month. Probably will stick with YooDo for a year and see.

Ah, stupid me, should've letgo the data plan.. they're giving the 20GB FOC. Owell .. haha.

now they are revising the data prices and added some new addons with the competitive price. I am sure the voice will be reviewed as well. But the recent demands on data price reduction was so great compare to voice and sms.
