Got my test sim today, for rm1+5 for 50 minutes call + 20gb.

I found the requirements to selfie before activation really unnecessary.

I personally feel Celcom is more faster than yoodo although Yoodo using Celcom network

Of course Yoodo gets lower network priority than their parent company

Yoodo Fanboy mostly given free credit from Yoodo lo...
die die will say Yoodo good even though it suckkk now..

Only viable ..call and sms still gooding..
But Data offer getting worse or network start to congested already...
Even Tunetalk much better speed.

This is the proof that even among MVNOs that rides on the same network, the service experienced can differs from each other due to the different traffic priority.

Celcom and Yoodo belongs to their parent company - Axiata. Its technically not MVNO unlike XOX , Tunetalk .

So here is my assumption. Network performance prioritize to both Celcom and Yoodo first followed by their MVNO partners.

But here is my experience with Umobile and maxis. Probably not the best scenario to compare but you be the judge. fyi there is no Umobile tower in Cameron (which is kinda odd and stupid for Umobile not investing network over there)

One time i was in Cameron for holidays.  Brought along my Umobile and My hotlink flex.
sitting in my rented aapartment i could see Umobile trying to connect to Maxis on Hspa..but only lasted for a few mins only before the line auto downgrade to EDGE mode.

whereas my Hotlink stayed on Hspa permanently.
What does it tell me - Maxis doesnt want to share 3g / 4g signal at all with Umobile even with RAN agreement.

I have nothing against Celcom because im having Tunetalk also and looking fwd to ditch (port out) my ugly slow Umobile postpaid in exchange for either Yoodo or Digi Prepaid.

my area i stay now seems to have very good speed with Tunetalk but only concern with the massive subscribers porting out from Umobile to XOX (or any Mvno celcom brand)

Celcom had a significant share in TuneTalk just in case you didn't know dry.gif

It seems that almost every telco is facing congestion. What is it lacking here in this country, not enough bandwidth allocation for the small population of Malaysia compared to our neighbouring countries?

Because we are still running 2G network which spectral efficiency is much lower than 4G where 2G had been shut down in Singapore and Thailand.

Why "most likely"? I thought if gov already said extend, yoodo no matter what kena extend?
*
Government is literally forcing MNO to provide free data without actually paying them but rather compensate by giving undisclosed benefit. Yoodo is not obligated to do so but do it on goodwill basis.
