RM20 will be credited once you successfully activated. Activation need to buy 1st any monthly base plan either data, voice or sms. From those 3 the cheapest is sms RM3 for 50 sms whice need to debit from our card. By right you haven't activated and pay anything, you are not the 'owner' of the number yet.

I am doing that, 1st sim for pure data, 2nd sim on yoodo for calls.  Problem solved.

Went through the community posts. Saw many users reported issues like unable to receive tac from bank. Is this a common issue?

ppfoong I want this smartphone for a different purpose than my current old smartphone. As my current old smartphone has problems already and cannot load anymore apps, this new phone besides tethering, will have to carry some apps (such as Yoodo apps, waze etc). It may also (haven't decided yet) carry another apps. Plus, this being a smartphone, am afraid that there will be 'hidden' upload/download/processing going on which may consume more RAM when doing tethering.

I do not want to mix the usage of this smartphone with my current old smartphone. Also, do not want to keep being distracted by the whatsapp messages etc when am using the smartphone for tethering as I will end up focusing on whatsapp instead. When its time to change my current smartphone (which hopefully  I don't plan to do so anytime soon), then only will I consider poco.

Ckpv5 suggested redmi 5 plus 3gb/32gb 4k mAh battery snapdragon 625 about $500+  which I'm considering but I was hoping for a budget below $450. So still haven't decided on the phone yet.

sitesscope That's extremely cheap as most places and official state price as over $1k+. Where did you buy yours from? Is yours 3GB or 4GB and ROM 32 or 64GB?

BTW for anyone, for XiaomiRedmi, I keep seeing imported set. Do I have to do something to it or can I use straightaway as if I were to purchase original Malaysia set?

Basic data 10GB at 64kbps but for me, Im getting full speed instead of 64kbps.

Most importantly celcom 4G is the best in terms of overall coverage and speed.
