Update as promised. I received an email from machines saying that the device is ready for collection.

Will update again once I’ve picked it up.

So it seems that the Curve’s outlet is purposely misleading people to think they’re phone cannot be serviced.

Will be sending an email to Apple once I’ve collected and verified that the phone is in good working order.

Doesn’t seem to be a company issue. Most likely the branch manager? Probably get an increase in “sales”. Looking forward to hear their response.

Either that or the service staff in that particular branch are incompetent, haha. Either way, curious to see their response.

Hi guys any idea what is the price for new battery from switch. For your information I have change to 3rd party battery earlier. Which mean its not genuine battery.

How much will they charge me?

I think It’s about RM300-RM400 but they may choose not to accept your unit coz they don’t want to be responsible if something goes wrong.

Mine IP6 reached 85% after 2 years. Went to Penang Seberang Jaya Sunway Carnival Apple customer service. They just fixed it for you within 24 hours.
Just remember to back up your phone before doing it. Also, a reminder that they will removed all your screen protector, back case protector and all unnecessary stuff for the sake of checking and verification after battery changed.
Feel funny..... luckily my screen protector was chipped off at edges. So time for changed then.
I did ask the CS if within 90% still need change. They say up to customer and mentioned promotion end this year.

Strange, some service centres leave the SP intact. Well anyways, as long as they get the job done thumbup.gif

My iPhone 7 still at 87% health. I guess no need to send in. Will be getting another iPhone 7, maybe a Plus. If battery is below 85% then will send it in.

I don’t understand:
1) Why stock availability for parts could not be checked first when the phone is checking-in? If customer is informed at that time, he/she can decide whether to proceed to leave the phone at the service centre or schedule another appointment.

2) They remove the tempered glass and all when there was no service done. Again this could be prevented if point 1 was done.

I have called some other service centre and although they have stock for the battery, they do not have stock for the gasket to retain back the water resistant feature so they will need a few days to order the parts.

Switch The Mines no stock. iTWorld 3 Two Square got stock for battery but mentioned that they don't have the gasket. Both said need to leave phone with them for 3-5 working days.

Note: This is for iPhone X

I already made appointment at KLCC. What should I bring tomorrow?
If I set appointment at 10am means I no need to queue?

Let me know as well. I’m traveling next week but plan to leave my IPX the following week when I return for service at KLCC as well. Do you mind asking about water proofing as well? And if they will remove your SP if you have any.
