I already made appointment at KLCC. What should I bring tomorrow?
If I set appointment at 10am means I no need to queue?

Update from my visit at Machines KLCC today
IP6 bought when it launch. Now 84%.
[COLOR=red]Battery Replaced RM121 Today[COLOR=red]

IPX bought Nov17. Now 88%.
[COLOR=red]Wanted to replaced battery. Warranty expired 5 days ago. The diagnostic by Machines before battery replacement found Faceid camera faulty. Told me to contact Apple for further action advisible not to change battery first. [COLOR=red]

IPX bought Dec17 and 93%.
[COLOR=red]After reset during diagnostic by Machines the battery jumped up to 95%. They said my phone still under warranty so cannot pay to change battery. Must send to Apple in Singapore and need 7 days. He said if battery Apple will replace the phone but seemed unlikely since my battery health showed 95% now.[COLOR=red]

The IPX with faulty Face ID camera, did you experience any problem using Face ID with it before?
*
One a while fail. Did not know it’s faulty until the diagnostic program at Machines turn out red\warning. Just 5 days passed warranty.

Ouch! If only you had sent it in earlier. Anyway, Face ID camera is quite a major defect, maybe Apple might still fix it for you for free. Fingers crossed!

I called up Apple and they will honour the warranty as i told them i am oversea with flight ticket to proof.

Also do you know if Machines won't replace the battery on my another unit when it is still under warranty? They ask me to wait for the warranty to expire next week. They say if i insist to submit, they will send it to Apple and need 7 days. Apple does not usually change battery for me since the health went back up to 95% after reset. If Apple found anything wrong, they will replace a new unit which i think is refurbish. But he claimed its new.

yes this is how they reply to me.. better wait until warranty expire. my unit already stucked for 2 weeks still now news..

Thanks for confirming.
At least you did bring it for them to check to confirm no other issue.
If were to bring after expiry of warranty, like my another ipX, they will say expired warranty, must pay to fix these faceid issue before allow to change battery.

i insist them to change the battery for me, after they done changing, they say there is another hardware issue, must send back to apple to repair, sooo i am still waiting for the so called new phone replacement from switch

Machines also told me it’s new. But I doubt it. Maybe casing is new but the inner hardwares is usually refurbish.

Just went to machines KLCC, made an appointment for battery replacement for my iPhone 8 Plus (94% health, warranty till jan)

asked apple CS before going in, was told if under warranty it will be eligible for the program, and will be free of charge.

Machines staff told me only phones out of warranty can get the RM 121 replacement, if still under warranty then they cannot replace the battery (in under 4 hours), and instead need to wait for 7 days for them to send it back to apple to replace.

at the end decided not to change it since 7 days is just too much hassle

Same thing Machines KLCC told me when I send in my under warranty ipX. Then I decided not to change my battery. Don’t really wanna get a reconditioned phone while my battery is 95%

Speaking from experience. I send my 93% iphone x with warranty to Machine few weeks back but changed my mind after i spoke to the person at Machines. Do try to reset your phone to see if the % goes up. Mine did, from 93% to 95% when i reset my phone when i was about to do battery replacement. In the end, i did not proceed.

I would say if your current battery is >90% don't bother changing. Yes you get the discount if you change now, but you pay rm129 for 10% drop. I rather wait till it drop to 80% then i pay full price to change and can stretch the phone even longer life. By that time, battery is possibly cheaper also.

But i plan to get new phone only when 5G is launched.
