You have too many places to visit on day 2 suggest to cut down tokyo gaien, Ginza and tsukiji for next time while the other all nearby train station, Akihabara is best visit during weekend road close for pedestrian paradise and I spend afternoon and night over there biggrin.gif . For Nikko trip I would recommended 2 days to explore more places since you spend most time travel long hours train already...
*
Thanks for your reply. For Nikko trip, I thought it should be 2 hours train only?

Actually my trip is next year, so not sure if Tsukiji is still there.

what mobile hotspot u used before?
*
I have tried b-mobile but those are simcard as well
never actually rent a hotspot before since i like to take my own walk so never been in a group much except for lunch/dinner occasion
but so far i don't see any weakness having your own sim card

You can refer to post #1 on page 1. Info on SIM and WIFI are there, with some recommendations.

From your experience, which would be better, to start the trip from Kyoto first or from Osaka first? Should I squeeze in a day trip to Nara too?
*
To me I think kyoto first then osaka cause u can catch the plane easier in osaka Imo. Yea u can totally squeeze in nara in osaka. It's cheaper too the train fare. Use hyperdia always. Really right on the dot when the train arrive and they even state how much is the fare.

Tokyo area full bloom March24,
Kansai area full bloom March31,

Flowers usually last a week after full bloom.

If you miss full bloom by a few days, still OK also cos you can catch the petals falling time which is nice in its own way also

Even if you miss by a week or more, there are places with late blooming varieties.

Full bloom is predicted to be so early this year in Tokyo? hmm.... last year i was there at 30th March and it was only just starting a little...

It's about 2 hours plus one way, but that's about 4.5 hours round trip.. it's almost half a day gone for transportation. It's pretty tiring to do a day trip... NOT IMPOSSIBLE.. but pretty tiring.. sweat.gif

Yah I was surprised too cos winter had a cold snap or two. But it seems that last few weeks have been warmer than usual.

I research myself need to take train from Shinjuku to Otsuki to Kawaguchiko... will this be troublesome?
