QUOTE(tohff7 @ Mar 11 2018, 05:35 PM) 1. Last time i got it from JTB Malaysia. Open-dated ticket 2. Depending on when you are going, you might not need the express pass. Just need to strategise correctly just want to ask anybody did the Kurobe Alpine Route using the 9000yen Option ticket before? How's the crowd during April? QUOTE(shirley_andy @ Mar 11 2018, 05:38 PM) Bought mine from Klook. Haven't go yet, but VIP wristband only give you 15min headstart, so I don't think its much of an advantage, just u get to go in earlier, then book a timed entry to HP world, and that's all I guess. QUOTE(motherland @ Mar 11 2018, 05:57 PM) Bought from klook for 1.5 day ticket, the first day went in at 3pm Wednesday, straight went to minion section queue time 90min, when i went out the queue time went down to 30min, noticed that all of the attraction queue time is around 5-30min around 5pm to 7pm(closing time for winter). thanks for your inputs guys On the second day it is the same the queue time is 5-30min for all the popular ride around 5-7pm. If the queue is long ill just use the single rider lane, for a 90min queue time you will only need around 30min if you use single rider lane. And i dont need timed ticket to enter harry potter since not many people (but the queue time for forbidden journey is 150min but i went in around 1 hour before closing and queue time is 15min) , this is last two week (Wednesday and Thursday) Sorry double motherland based on your description, you had not purchased the express ride tickets either eh ? |

QUOTE(ragk @ Mar 11 2018, 03:10 PM) Hi, There are two airport in Tokyo. I presume you are talking about Haneda right? If yes taxi can cost you about 10K-15K depending where your city center is. Tokyo is big. If you are landing in Narita, expect at least double. There are some mid night buses from the airport though but depending on your definition of city center.Im checking on the transport from the Tokyo Airport to the city in late night. By far as i know the last train from airport will be 12.01/12.02 am, but as backup plan i need to consider if my flight was delayed. Anyone know how much it cost for taxi from Tokyo Airport to City center? |

Hi all,
I need advice on the below itinerary. Day 1: Arrival at almost midnight Day 2: Tokyo (Asakusa, Skytree, Akihabara, Ueno, Tokyo Tower, Kokyo Gaien, Ginza, Tsukiji if still there next year) Day 3: Tokyo Disneyland Day 4: Hokane, Gotemba, Lake Kawaguchiko Day 5: Lake Kawaguchiko >> back to Tokyo (Odaiba, Shinjuku) Day 6: Nikko Day trip Day 7: Saitama Day trip Day 8: Tokyo (Shibuya, Meiji Shrine, Harajuku, Ikeburo) Day 9: Tokyo free & easy & fly back to KL at night Do I need JR pass? The ticket is MYR 1k+ but mostly my trips are still within Kanto region (except Fuji). Currently I'm not too sure if buying unlimited pass will be better or using IC card is better. Any other cards to recommend if according to the above itinerary? Try to squeeze my budget actually. |

QUOTE(ScivanShimitar @ Mar 10 2018, 06:30 PM) Hi would you be kind enough to point out on which day seems to be too packed for you so I can consider another option and make adjustment? Overall it seems packed so I can't pinpoint exactly which days. Maybe you can try taking one or two items out from each day and spread out throughout the trip. For example if Day 2 has 10 items, remove one and put it to Day 3. Just a suggestion. If you think you can visit all places in the schedule, go for it |

QUOTE(shirley_andy @ Mar 9 2018, 05:31 PM) I'm gonna have a 8D 7N trip to Osaka-Kyoto too next month, so far my itinerary is ok not that pack, taking away USJ and shopping allocation (which I have), I think 8D7N for you should be fine. My AA flight also reach KIX around 9pm+, based on what I've read, KIX immigration check may take sometime so I decide to sleep at airport the first night. The rails stop at midnight, but there are limousine bus that still run after 12am but only to a few major hotel in Osaka, so not convenient for me as I book AirBnb in less central area. Thanks for info How many days/nights are you allocating for Osaka and Kyoto respectively? |

QUOTE(Nekochan @ Mar 9 2018, 10:45 PM) Osaka - kyoto trip 8d7n should be enough cause you minus USJ dy. Thanks for the info Last june, went to japan and I arrive early in the morning at 7am. Check out and everything was fast and smooth. Luggage was already there when we finish the immigration. I landed in KIX and head to Kyoto by train. Straight to an airbnb home i rented near fushimi inari. Like literally really near. Area is housing area which is really peaceful and its near mountain since Fushimi inari shrine is there too. theres two station around the area im staying in kyoto which is good. manage to visit a lot of famous landmark in kyoto and osaka. You have to plan your schedule. And in japan, its all about walking. philosopher's path is only worth going if its spring or autumn cause i went on summer and u see green everywhere only. not worth going IMO. some temple must pay to go in. From your experience, which would be better, to start the trip from Kyoto first or from Osaka first? Should I squeeze in a day trip to Nara too? |

QUOTE(jojo_g2 @ Mar 9 2018, 09:24 AM) is 8-10 days enuff to do tokyo & kyoto? i would recommend taking flight instead. and isit best to just take the shinkansen to kyoto & back? will be travelling with wife and 10yr old son. QUOTE(mocha321 @ Mar 9 2018, 05:16 PM) Hi, yes. I went there last year 13Nov-23Nov. Most places ady have autumn leaves.I'm planning an Osaka-Kyoto trip. Would 13 Nov to 20 Nov be OK to catch the autumn leaves? Is 8D7N enough for this two locations? Will be travelling with elderly, so will try to have not too packed schedule. Won't be going to Universal Studio. If I go for flights that will arrive KIX at around 9pm+, would it be too rush to catch a train to Osaka/Kyoto? I checked a few airlines but mostly either arrive early morning or night. Any suggestions? QUOTE(Skyiz @ Mar 9 2018, 11:15 PM) Anyone had tried travel recommends pocket wifi in JP? If yes, do share your experience with their service, reliable? i tried. simple and easy in terms of booking, pick up and drop-off. will be using again in my next coming trip QUOTE(calvin @ Mar 11 2018, 05:31 PM) for those that went to USJ :- i got mine from klook1. Where did you guys buy your tickets from ? (USJ JP site/ klook/ kiosk @ lawson) ? I'm not targeting to take on all the rides maybe just a few popular ones, so I'm intending to get the VIP wristband instead of the express pass. Has anyone tried this method before ? depending on the day you go, express pass may not be necessary and be there early QUOTE(OhNooy @ Mar 12 2018, 11:02 AM) Hi all, no need JR pass. Tokyo Metro Pass enough. Day 4 and 5 you can get Fuji Hakone pass but that is for 3 daysI need advice on the below itinerary.
