QUOTE(zher4883 @ Apr 10 2018, 08:32 PM) Tap Internet Storage in about phone and go to phone information 1 or 2 respectively depending on which sim card slot you are using and compare the earfcn to this website http://niviuk.free.fr/lte_band.php to find out the network band using. Alternatively, just root your phone and install Network Signal Guru and you will get it. I assume u meant "Tap Internal Storage". Will give it a try tomorrow. Thanks for the info!

QUOTE(andyng38 @ Apr 10 2018, 08:04 PM) Sorry for multiple posts...the multiquote function doesn't wanna work today!! Nokia 7 Plus has an f1.75 cam, SD660 and usb-C. But I agree with u...the price is really on the high side. Someone I know is dead-set on getting it though...mainly cos of nostalgia associated with the Nokia name There's better value-for-money phones out there. Exactly. I would think 1299 would be ether. Anyways, all eagerly awaiting the Redmi 5 Pro now

QUOTE(andyng38 @ Apr 10 2018, 07:46 PM) The old Mi service outlet at Low Yat Plaza closed down. There's a new one on the same floor (4th)...it's tiny and seems to be an authorized service outlet, not owned by Mi. tel: 03-2110 5842 I went there to ask if they sold the BM42 battery for my old Note 3G...no luck. They don't sell spare parts, and that battery is long out of production I remember when the Note 3G first came out...there was a big issue about yellow screens too...something about the glue holding the digitizer from the lcd screen together, it was coming apart, causing the yellowish cast. Fortunately my unit was not affected. Hope your 5 gets repaired fast. Thanks mate. Now still considering whether this is my first and last Xiaomi's.

QUOTE(MGM @ Apr 10 2018, 10:50 PM) Ok thanks for the explanation n method without rooting the phone. But my RN3 About Phone doesn't have such info. Try with your dialer, type *#*#4636#*#* You'll get same menu then select phone information 1 or 2 (on which sim slot that you use)

QUOTE(uan @ Mar 29 2018, 12:23 AM) Not a fan of gesture. 3 nav buttons do the job well. Single tap vs fancy gesture. Straight forward action vs time wasting gesture. Why change? Oh my. I would like to recall my view on this. xda-dev forumer introduce "all in one gesture" app, and take advantage of full-screen gesture. Not epal-like gesture, just simple single swipe. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?...ios.aiogestures

Not epal-like gesture, just simple single swipe. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?...ios.aiogesturesThis is a great app that I installed on all my devices since 2013. I use it mainly for swipe right area for back (save the hassle to reach back button on navbar) and swipe left area for advanced power menu or to run advanced power menu app when rom has no built-in advanced power menu.

QUOTE(zher4883 @ Mar 13 2018, 09:40 PM) Nobody is stopping you from using normal screen protector. However, for more comprehensive protection, people choose to use tempered glass. Soling halo effect is pretty simple. Select screen protector that doesn't cover the curved ares or use filler gel to remove halo effect. Halo effect is a area where it's filled with air due to tempered glass unable to stick on the surface of the phone due to the phone's screen is curved. there are 2 type of tempered glass protector rite? 1 is like with casing (i think is full cover), another type is like the traditional stick on piece. for both full n non full tempered glass, how does it stick to your phone? it has own adhesive? does the adhesive leave any mark after long time the full cover does it encase the phone much like the free TPU case?

The leftover gel can be easily wiped off without any stain left. So I think fully covered tempered glass is still the best protection you could get.

QUOTE(zher4883 @ Apr 11 2018, 06:25 PM) Why are you so obsessed with the RAM left? Android system will automatically free up RAM for applications that needs it. because i had a 2gb rn3 before. it had about 600 to 700mb free. when i play a game and whatsapp come it, the gane needs reloading when i switch to whatsapp and back to game. its irritating it happen because miui 7 got updated to 8. bought a redmi 5 with 3gb. switching apps is fine. it has about 1.3 to 1.5 free anytime. wonder miui 9.5 will hog up ram.
