Just did googling. "The key for the version of Windows the PC comes with is stored in the computer's UEFI firmware or BIOS. You don't even need to know it–assuming you're installing the same edition of Windows the PC came with, it should automatically activate and work without you needing to enter a key." Its stored in your laptop's bios. I replaced the HDD right after I buy my laptop in 2014. Its been running that fast upon buying the laptop with 8gb ddr3 ram. That time SSD is expensive that not every laptop has. When I see people's laptop getting slower due to HDD performing poorer, I am glad that I made the switch the moment I bought the laptop. Its just tat 250gb ssd is not enuf for further storage considering i had used the laptop for 6 years now. I did myself. Replaced myself DIY myself. It is so easy. If your laptop has m2 slot, even better. Plug the m2 then clone from ur HDD. Samsung data migration is good for samsung ssd/nvme. You can do fresh install to prevent any file missing or eliminate error or compatibility issue. I did that also for the sake of trying clone for the first time and it worked fine. I still keep the 250GB SSD with the original windows files data all intact. I did not format it so I still have some old essential backup and ensure my windows 8.1 will not bump into issue.

Thanks for the useful information.

You only used 82GB out of 1TB, so I don't believe you have lots of software installed
Also, after switching to SSD, you will see that installing software is a lot faster than what it used to be
Actually enquiry for my sister's laptop.
Only install normal programs only.
Like Browser and Office Programs.
No games installed. Maybe later.
Just working stuff.
Only problem is that my sister's school already setup the network drive to the laptop.
Need to reconfigure after fresh installation.
As she is working as a teacher.
Nowadays getting 100% disk for the whole day and night.
Lag during video conferencing.
So, your suggestion will be fresh install?
I can do if I could remove the Windows 10 Splash Screen.
The Windows Logo.
Thanks.
