I looked through and couldn't find it, actually the first step is to make sure you have enough RAM. Does your sister's laptop have at least 8GB RAM? If not, upgrade to 8GB or maybe even 16GB RAM first. If you're starting with 4GB RAM or less than the SSD impact will be much lessWill check it out thanks.

Second do virus/malware scan, disable useless stuff at startup.
Both the steps above are relevant even if you have an SSD. Good luck
