I am a newbie driver , drive for 3weeks 400+ trips completed , since this week I can get RM120-150 nett a day , drive like 8-10 hour and sapu everything , I have one serious problem , I am very polite , new and clean car , but why my DR drop lIke rain fall , from 4.98 drop to 4.83 in 2 week , 263 people rate me , I ask every rider nicely to give me 5 star after they pay , usually they  will haha and say yes , but from the first week I start driving , the rating is just go all the way Down , can any sifus give me some tips how to maintain the DR? thanks

Well I think Grab high fare is based on timing. Fare can really go from double to triple value. For around 30 mins. Those riders not able to wait will fall into the trap. Location is important as well. Yesterday got a normal fare RM20+ end up RM70+ trip. Hahaha. Time around 7.30pm. Location Subang Airport.

can u advise how it works? As a rider, the fare seems nuts

I checked today at 8.10pm to my home is RM17, then i checked again at 8.19pm it became RM20. Only 9 minutes difference here. It's not even a 30 or 60 minutes block for changing the rate?

OF course not, like Uber surge, it depends on balance of drivers vs riders demand. Why on earth would you think they would reserve a 30/60 block of minutes to fix the price? Does the number of passengers request change only every 30 mins? Solution...if you dont want to pay higher fare...wait.

PS: And dont abuse Grabshare by using it and then calling up the driver/texting driver to hurry up (even though there is a matched passenger on board). I kena this type of customer today. And to top it off, he was short of 50 cents for the fare LOL. bangwall.gif

Also Malaysian Grab riders seem very entitled, they are quoted a FIXED price regardless of how long the job takes. If suddenly theres a traffic jam on the way, normal teksi meter and Uber charges waiting time/minute. Yet they complain when theres dynamic demand based pricing ..... High time grab start to charge waiting time and cancellation fees here like they do in Singapore. sh1t** riders....

Received the payment statement already... for last week 30% cash back on 85 trips, it was actually based on the total trip and fare that i made. I did 95 trips and they paid every single one of it and also the guarantee fare of RM6 rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

Depending on demand VS supply. But generally during peak hour, anywhere also will be high fare.

bad enough if they are normal Grabcar riders during peak hour behaving like this (not all, some are very understanding when you call them explaining the traffic), but HURRYING A DRIVER FOR GRABSHARE??? THAT IS MATCHED????

i got another female rider, reached there at 515pm, asked me if can wait 5 minutes or not....OK la eventhough annoyed already since this was in the middle of nowhere office park. Then when reached her place, asked "can you stop 2 mins in 7E, need to take cash to pay you! LMAO! and then most will at least embarass and give a tip, she gave $10 for a $9 fare and wanted the $1 change.

If we know then we won't be sitting here talking laugh.gif

All i can say is incentive driver getting lesser and flexi driver getting more, so demand will exceed supply, when this happen the fare will jump.

I encounter one passenger order Grab at 10pm Bangsar Village, fare to Pandan Indah is RM25 (high fare), what she do is ask her friend to drop her at Bangsar LRT, request Grab at Bangsar LRT and i pick up, the fare is RM17 (still high fare) but much lower. I suspect radius demand do count in.

sometimes few minutes can goes down, if u want to save, avoid where the crowd going, for example shopping mall closing at 10pm, for sure 9-10pm will have high demand, if u order at this hour confirm will make the demand peak.

Uber surge is by minute wor, is really hard to keep track because it fluctuate like share market, upfront fare of RM7 then traffic jam causing more times, upfront fare is gone and u pay for the distance and time multiply by surge. I experience once and feel kinda scary.

Actually can report to Grab to say that customer paying u short of RM0.50, his account confirm suspended until paying off the dues. laugh.gif

Please list down your RM3/RM4 booking as below format and we will compute from there.

[Fare, GrabCar/Grabshare (if grabshare please mention match or not matched)]

e.g.

RM 3  Grabshare (matched)
RM 4  Grabshare (not matched)
RM 3  Grabcar
.

No grabshare

30 Aug ( wednesday )
1 - rm4

2 Sep ( saturday )
2- rm4

4 Sep ( monday )

i not sure until what date they calculate for the topup of min fare of rm5

Received the incentive mail , but they dint mention or specified about incentive thing , got min.guarantee rm9.16 and other were those promo promo incentive.

( where to wait for airport trip at airport? - i got one trip go airport from kl but no idea where to wait at airport , then uber apps show 100++ , just off and back - the airport earn around rm40 , if i go back KL again to continue , i think total for airport trip earn rm25. )

Honestly, Subang airport will have more chances to get ping. You need to enter the airport and walk around to know why. icon_rolleyes.gif

I didnt received the 30%, i did 108jobs on the period given with RM1.1K drive, in return, i just received 10% cashback only.
When I email to grab support, they say have no access to that and ask me to walk in to their office in PJ. that was hell.
AM I being cheated?
