which miri area were you guys? i'm at pujut 9. unifi 30mbps, still not getting the free upgrade yet.

my line was really crappy since evening.
and the bad speed degrading since a few weeks ago didn't help either. and i thought i was the only one having bad speed.

i'm only getting around 7mbps DL since last month (which i just realized). it was a stable 7mbps-ish... lol, but of course it's not fair since we paid for 30mbps, not 7mbps.  shakehead.gif
sent complain email in the afternoon, and the line become worse in the evening lol. supposed to be the other way round.  rclxub.gif

Cheers, guys!
TM still not announce data caps yet.

In US, Cox Internet now capped@1TB data. And 2TB data for expensive package. Hope TM not stupid enough to do it like this.

10TB or 20TB data cap is OK for me. biggrin.gif

Why the sudden trigger? It is not implemented since its launch in 2010...

Please don't have this mindset. Data cap in any form should not be ok. okay ? LOL

This video opened my mind . Now I know why broadband is expensive in Malaysia (and also Australia I guess) ... ( wink wink it's singapore .. wink wink it's also because most content is in the US , wink wink also because of infrastructure stuff)

It's better if you watch the whole video very informative. Jump to 13:45 if you want to know price..( avg costs ISPs pay to get international connectivity : 65USD/Mbps/Month )
This is in 2010 though don't know how is it now in 2017 , but I must say better than before.

FYI the guy giving the talk is CEO of Time

If your current contract has already ended, yes
If your current contract is still alive, no

Finally tm upgraded my 30mbps to 50mbps. Bandar Menjalara, Kepong. But both my PC and brother's pc which are connected to the router through homeplug can only reach about 38mbps. Previously, it always gave full speed when my connection was still 30mbps. Also, my phone when connected to wifi only gives out about 25mbps

My current router is this:
TP-LINK 300M Wireless N Router
Model No. TL-WR841HP

Any idea to which router I should change to? Probably between RM100 to RM200

First test it out using LAN cable (direct to router)see if you are getting 50Mbps?
If so, then try changing the router channel setting. Use Wifi Analyzer on cellphone to determent the least congested channel.
Then try to perform the speed test.

As for homeplug, whats your homeplug rating?

This Xiaomi Mi 3 is cheap if you're prepared to put a couple of hours of work into flashing it:
https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/4244379

Has only 100Mb LAN, though. Fast enough for me.

Plenty of secondhand expensive asus router at garage sale
https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?act=Sear...s&highlite=asus

recommend to buy fan to cool it down

however,
The problem may not be your router.
It may due to your devices' speed limitation.
