Hi gais if registering for Unifi, are we able to retain/reuse the existing phone number?
*
if same owner and same exchange, you can ask for number porting over/ maintain number as Voice Over Broadband (VOBB) number. thumbsup.gif

Yes, but your Unifi account must be the same owner as the phone account.

Hi, do you guys think that tm will maybe introduce a data cap for unifi soon? As this unifi lite plan is kinda a no brainer upgrade from streamyx

I believe the keyword is when. As for now, I doubt the cap will be implement within this 3 years, that's just my 2 cents.
They're focusing more onto penetrating internet especially the rural area, hence the bandwidth cap may be their least priority for now.

Yes. That's the SUBB VDSL Cabinet. It supports Unifi Lite via VDSL Copper line.

this is one of their fiberization project to shift streamyx customers to fiber-based services.

unlimited/uncapped quota for unifi is one of their selling point. if, and when they set a quota, they will directly compete with telcos and lose the advantage.

my guess is tm to keep unifi as unlimited fixed broadband, while positioning webe unifi mobile with quota to go against telcos instead.

What I am doing now...
[1] Got a MiBox3s at RM300+, install Kodi, HyppTV Everywhere, ICDrama etc.
      - ICDrama or download from ICDrama for tonnes of TVB dramas. (replacing Astro 311)
      - Must use a USB mouse for HyppTV everywhere. The H.E. is not remote control - friendly.
[2] Suspend Astro for 2 months and evaluate. It is likely I will move to Astro NJOI (paying ~RM400 one-off) and go for prepaid channels when needed (eg RM21.20 for 30 days for a channels instead of paying ~RM100 monthly) + some basic channels free for life.
[3] Haven't tried Huat88/MyIPTV, just pay RM30/month for all Astro channels (but illegal).

FYI, HyppTV HD channels use not more than 2.8Mbps.

No use one. I learn from experience. End up with 1000 movies and 10000 tv episodes and no time to watch.

Just want to buy back my Astro equipment, keep some basic channels (free for life), and buy kids channels during holiday.
TV box is not really friendly and convenient.
Also Astro app doesn't work at MiBox3s at this moment.
Not planning to get full Astro channels (pirated).

For me I did not subscribe any Astro or any private channel.
I am using SmartTV to watch movies, drama series via SmartHUB apps via Wifi (UNIFI)
Therefore, you can also if you want.

Actually there are a lot of free Iptvs which you can watch for free. Just need to search for it online, download and install in your android box. But of course, you wont know how long it will last. Check out the iptv thread.
