All the while we indirectly paid for copper cable theft and vandalism, RM50mil/year.
Paying for new fibre cable is better than reinstalling copper cables.
*
Points taken. But there is no need to fatten the already rich TM. Consumer is always first.

My area just finished pull fibre cable. So if i take unifi lite now, then after few years would like to upgrade to better package. Shouldn’t have those “ no port” issue right?
*
Make sure you take one port now by registering before ports are full.

check with u,
do you know where is your Fiber distribution Box located  in front or back lane?
start from which point of your internal fiber cable concealed ?
*
Usually its located at the telephone pole at the back of your house (i assume yours is a terrace house) and the fibre will be connected from the back of your house to the access point inside your house.

QUOTE(birain @ Jul 31 2017, 01:30 PM)

Great, will need to apply in september or october once i shift.

Understand there is no STB provided for hypptv.

Can I use my old STB for the hypptv?
*
Yes, but I couldnt use my stb if I connect direcly to my modem or router supplied by TM. So I connect using wifi instead to view hypp tv everywhere.

Different case for Hypp TV though.

unifi lite RM178 with webe

https://www.tm.com.my/unifi/Pages/tmsea-consumer.html
*
Its a very good deal if you ask me. And now webe even allows 10GB tethering. Nowadays, telco and internet packages are getting better and better. It would be a no brainer to actually sign up for contracts. sweat.gif

Im planning to apply for the Unifi Lite biz package too. The Rm199 is not inclusive of calls right? The marketers were still trying to push the unifi advance biz package at Rm299-Rm20 Discount = Rm279. laugh.gif

can say naked internet, call will be charged, no add on voice @ rm 20 like home package, no everywhere also.

good if u on HSBB area.. no need to waste your money on unifi lite. go pro 100mb or advance biz 30 / 50mb. my area is subb area. no luck for advance / pro package.  sad.gif
*
Bro Rm199 and Rm299 is quite a difference. We are not really running any network servers which require fast network speeds. So yeah, we could do with the Lite package. Just that Im on a very value package right now we are enjoying with streamyx so we will need to consider if we are upgrading to lite biz. Thanks for the heads up.

Your number is the recycle one (someone used & terminated). TM rewards side require 7 days to sort up or update that number detail. Try to login again after a week time.

I've had unifi lite installed for almost 3 months already. hmm.gif

I know what u r going thru. It's a very messy system. The staff at TM Point sorted out the Rewards issue for me.

And now I'll have to go back to Tm Point to sort out my final Streamyx bill. They credited me with half month's fee instead of charging me for the usage till my Unifi Lite was activated, and are also refunding my deposit. Dunno why they couldn't just transfer my deposit to my Unifi account...or Unifi doesn't require a deposit?? It's all very weird, but at least they're VERY consistent with the convoluted messiness. Sigh.

The TM unifi admin system dont link each other with TM Rewards system. Only you need to inform them (TM Rewards), then they will start doing work.
*
Means that I need to make a trip to TM Point to sort out this mess. I hate the queues there. doh.gif

they have many systems. streamyx billing system is different and separate from unifi's.

from our view, transfer the deposit would be easy, but system cant do that easily/seamlessly.
*
Worst is the staff from different tm points and the staff from the call centre gives different information to the customer making things even more confusing. rclxub.gif

Are you getting a replacement anytime soon? Guess they should be replacing it with 3G capable terminals now.
*
Nope.. No info from the bank yet. I think it will be a costly replacement for them as there are so many merchants.
