QUOTE(jchong @ Nov 15 2020, 11:10 AM) Am using the AX20 router which comes with independent FEM. Anybody know what is the transmit power (mW) of this router? I doubt any brands still disclose it as transmit power don't matter as much these days since WiFi is a 2-way communication. There will be no data transfer if it couldn't "hear back" from you devices as your mobile device transmit power is definitely much weaker. That's why manufacturer put more focus on antenna gain and interference mitigation instead. You can probably still check it on FCC filing docs. |

QUOTE(yusheng @ May 17 2019, 10:33 PM) Hi, does anyone else are having problem for their Astro connecting to deco m5's wifi? Any idea why the connection keep failing? In Deco apps, go to More for Router Setting > Wi-Fi, disable 5Ghz and try to reconnect Astro decoder. Once done, you may enable 5Ghz back again. Thanks |

I have the Deco E4R. I noticed that there is firmware update version
1.4.3 build 20200918 rel 44982. It says here fixes Wifi WPA2 encryption Option to choose encryption type Anyone tried it? For my astro decoder problem, I resorted to connecting the astro via ethernet wire cable directly to the deco itself. |

Hi, I owned AX20 and was using it around 1 month, but only using with 1 unit.
I placed the main unit in living room, and recently i was setting up another unit at upstair. I noticed the transmission speed is significantly drop nearly 40 - 50%. How can I make both units to transmit at the max. speed? I heard of the ethernet backhaul, but, are there any other solutions? Also, I have another issue, the main unit in the living room, 1 ethernet port has connected to the modem, and i tried to connect my few laptops to another ethernet port, the laptops show no connection. Hi All,
Just got an X20 (2 pack) during 11.11 to be used for my 1.5k sqft condo. Am currently subscribed to Time 500Mbps and X20 is setup as router mode. There are few issues that I am facing On Main Unit 1. Speed test are getting only around 250MBPS even i am standing next to it. 2. Test is done using Galaxy Note 9 through speedtest. 3. Wifi speed on the phone settings is showing 867MBPS. 4. My previous router ( ASUS - AC87) can get speed around 400mbps. 5, Tried speedtest morning, afternoon, night = same result 6. Enabled/Disabled 2,4Ghz/Beamforming/FastRoaming = same result 7. Speedtest using TPlink app showing 520 mbps On Slave Unit located in Room around 15ft away (behind walls) 1. Connection dropped till 50mbps 2. While playing games (CS:GO) it always show internet time out after every 8s and reconnect back...happens almost at fixed 8s intervals. 3. Moving slave node next to PC solved the internet time out; PC to original slave node location is <5ft. What?? 4. Enabled/Disabled 2,4Ghz/Beamforming/FastRoaming = same result 5. PC is using a nano USB ASUS AC53 receiver. Just got the unit 2 days ago and i am already very frustrated and disappointed. This is supposed rated 4k sqft coverage. Seeking help from sifu/otai here to help and guide me to the light... |

Since you already moved the slave unit next to your PC, can you try and connect your pc to the slave x20 via ethernet and run a speedtest? |

Left is ASUS - AC87, Right is Deco X20 ![]() you are downgrading instead of upgrade... u just upgrade from Wifi 5 to Wifi 6. You may be right i am downgrading on the speed (if i were to maxismise all of it) but I wanted mesh to improve overall connectivity around the house. Right out of the box, it should be getting closer to my ISP speed of 500Mbps and not 250Mbps. If possible i really would like to try out a back haul capable router for my unit layout before deciding on one.. |

Then I placed it on upstairs. i did test mine a Asus /main , AX20 / AP wired with lan cable . both can get max speed of 100Mbps as my unifi plan . you can try this to see if you get the speed u should. |

QUOTE(hshern95 @ Nov 19 2020, 08:18 AM) 500mbps eh, AFAIK, according to TP LINK, AX20 does not support mesh mode when using router + router. In your case 2 x AX20. How sure are you that the 2nd unit pair automatically? No I didn't. I just turned on 2nd unit and it automatically paired with the main unit. Then I placed it on upstairs. TP-LINK MY
https://www.tp-link.com/my/home-networking/smart-plug/hs110/ Hi TP Link, I am thinking to get this Wifi smart plug with energy monitoring for some specific experiment. 1. What is the minimum interval to sample average power consumption? (day?hour?min?sec?) 2. Can we perform measurement(eg: 5min) and exporting 5min data out to text file? or CSV file? If no, is there any other tp link product that support above feature? Or if there any handsome LYN master can recommend me some alternative product?
