I have two of xe75, the problem is lack of support since late last year because most of deco wifi 6/6e eol'ed
Last time got firmware update last October or November last year, until today no firmware update at all
If spend a lot of money just for wifi 7, stay away from tp link, better look for deals about Asus routers

Now tp link be series, software support I think is quite bad, new features slow to roll out (including the much debated DoT, DoH features.)

That would be Deco BE65
Yup, their firmware update focus on security fix whenever there's a severe issue.

Only their selected few mainstream models receive more firmware updates

Hmm.. that's why i also quite dilemma wanna continue using Deco series or not.
Their hardware version also very discourage ppl.

This XE75 single line product already has 1.0, 2.0, 2.6, 3.0
Then firmware support also almost 1 year not moving already.

erm right after modem change I managed to hit 826 Mbps.

On average.. around 600~700++Mbps but that's only at direct line of sight to router.

Finally, my speed test able to match 800 Mbps. Tested with my Honor 90 phone with the actual distance from the Mercusys Halo H80X mesh unit is about 6 feet.

I brought a used maxis tplink ex510 thinking connect to my ax20 v1 as mesh, but cant seems to make it work, then i notice ax20 only has onemesh, while newer ex510 has easymesh. Any way to make it work with each other? i wanna provide stable wifi to one room far from router using lan cable to ex510. Ax20 v1 got any firmware update for easy mesh? i saw last time US site said they plan to update it but not malaysia site.

the youtuber is sponsored by tplink some of his videos. he did mention that. so grain of salt.

my own experience with a eap-773 tplink for omada eco system

- you don't need to register tplink to login to the omada controller self hosted on local on your own machine. nor do you need to register to use their android app (local accounts work. not sure about the deco eco system, maybe that is different)

- in omada controller ui, there is cloud. you can disable and not use that.

- in omada they also have a ping for new updates. so if you are worried about that, you can disable check firmware update. will that be enough to stop pinging to inform tplink that your ip uses their hardware? no idea.

- also with firmware auto update disabled, you can then update it manually yourself. so you can defer updates by a few weeks or month to give time for others to spot anything dodgy in the newer firmware update. doesn't guarantee if anything will be detected or not sweat.gif

If concerned, then the other option for a wifi ap is perhaps ubiquiti which is not a china brand.

Or you can stick to those all in one router + wifi combos like off the shelf asus or some other.

but one of the reasons tplink is popular is probably because of something like their deco series. a mesh router/wifi combo to easily setup a wifi mesh (either purely wireless, or via wired backhaul which i would recommend for that mesh setup) at a reasonable price compared to the competition (the newer wifi 7 models of course is at a premium over older tech like wifi 6e. so when i say priced reasonably, that is relative to the other wifi 7 by the other brands in that price segment).
