TL-POE150S PoE Injector

Got a silly question.
Can I use this to make Deco M5 to become POE?
Thinking to put 1 unit outside living area that don't have power point, around 25meter away from the nearest node.

From what I read in the tplink forums, the deco series don't support passive or even active PoE.. since this item is cheap maybe someone can try xD

Deco series itself don't support POE, but with the splitter, it has convert POE back to power source and lan cable...

the price is so big different with the tp link injector and splitter, 1 set of 10/100/1000 is around rm160,
1 set of 10/100 cost around rm75-90. this 1 just rm6.9... don't know what is the different?

should not be...
i can say all of my devices are able to support 5GHz.

I have tested setting up another unit of Deco X20, all of the devices are connected to 5GHz network..

And I have contacted to TP-Link support team, they suspect I get that unit is faulty and ask me to send it back for RMA.

Sigh... cry.gif Just received one day and the unit need to be sent for RMA.

Hello all.

I am planning to get the AX50. I want to connect it to my Huawei B618, so that the B618 works purely as modem, and AX50 handles all the router work.

The main reason I want to get a dedicated router is so that when someone is watching Netflix in the living room, I can still play online games on my PC with minimal lag. Currently the lag is so bad if streaming and gaming at the same time. I want to use the QOS feature (missing in B618).

So my question is, does the QOS feature on the AX50 works for this scenario? I read that bandwidth management is not supported by AX50.

Thanks!

PS: Fiber internet isn't an option currently, so the B618.

are u sure your 4G speed is fast enough to do so...

Hi All,

Just got an X20 (2 pack) during 11.11 to be used for my 1.5k sqft condo. Am currently subscribed to Time 500Mbps and X20 is setup as router mode. There are few issues that I am facing

On Main Unit
1. Speed test are getting only around 250MBPS even i am standing next to it.
2. Test is done using Galaxy Note 9 through speedtest.
3. Wifi speed on the phone settings is showing 867MBPS.
4. My previous router ( ASUS - AC87) can get speed around 400mbps.
5, Tried speedtest morning, afternoon, night = same result
6. Enabled/Disabled 2,4Ghz/Beamforming/FastRoaming = same result
7. Speedtest using TPlink app showing 520 mbps

On Slave Unit located in Room around 15ft away (behind walls)
1. Connection dropped till 50mbps
2. While playing games (CS:GO) it always show internet time out after every 8s and reconnect back...happens almost at fixed 8s intervals.
3. Moving slave node next to PC solved the internet time out; PC to original slave node location is <5ft. What??
4. Enabled/Disabled 2,4Ghz/Beamforming/FastRoaming = same result
5. PC is using a nano USB ASUS AC53 receiver.

Just got the unit 2 days ago and i am already very frustrated and disappointed. This is supposed rated 4k sqft coverage. Seeking help from sifu/otai here to help and guide me to the light...

X20 don't have a dedicated channel to communicate with each node, speed drop to half is very normal...

250MBPS = 2000Mbps what u expecting?

Left is ASUS - AC87, Right is Deco X20

you are downgrading instead of upgrade... u just upgrade from Wifi 5 to Wifi 6.

EA-AC87 Selling price is RM580 1 unit, Deco X20 1 unit only RM350+-

Get the Deco X60 or M9 might get upgrade feel a bit...

Yep it doesnt come with a backhaul. Sorry my typo on the capital letters, shouldb be Mbps.
You may be right i am downgrading on the speed (if i were to maxismise all of it) but I wanted mesh to improve overall connectivity around the house.

Right out of the box, it should be getting closer to my ISP speed of 500Mbps and not 250Mbps.

If possible i really would like to try out a back haul capable router for my unit layout before deciding on one..

Honestly play game is more about latency and upload speed...
For better speed test u should test with transfer file through network...
