because this upgrade is done thru TM point & the staff insist only RM149 available
maybe should check next month bill & see how

I think you can see from occ.unify.my if you have STD20.
But for your VDSL configuration, you need to pay RM4 extra every month, compared to ours (RM129).

Sorry.... I dun know where to ask this... TM have not been very helpful...

Just had UNIFI installed at my triple storey house. Installers says now TM not supplying the Fibre termination box (external wall) & Fibre wall socket (internal wall) anymore...

so now I got a very long cable fr the FDP on the outside pole to my room (thru a hole) directly connected to my modem....

Looks quite scary to have one single cable connected like that... 🤤

Anyone can verify this?

Also the installers didn't do a proper job at making it tidy and seal the gapping hole! 😲

You could choose to hide the wiring inside your ceiling if you want to, and you must agree to pay for the non-standard supply/works.

They are supposed to install this to cover the gaping hole.

PRO

You have extra fiber optic cable outside of the house and you can move it inside the house

CON

this contractor very bad at work.. they should put white cement to cover the holes.. You can buy white cement yourself today at hardware store.

TM really screw up SUBB unifi lite.

1. no VLAN - no VOIP, no hypptv STB forever
2. on the setup, VDSL splitter required, terrible copper cable lay down.

anyone familiar with the minimum requirement on the copper cable for VDSL?

Mine is the same way....one long cable from the telephone pole to inside the house, and it's plugged in to the optical network unit. But they did a neater job with the cable and also sealed up the hole with white cement. However on the acceptance form, they still differentiated between outside and internal fiber even though it's just one long contiguous cable.

hurm, maybe so they can make claims... fiber work should be more expensive due to the higher care that you need to give them

Don't waste the rewards. For 3700 points, you can redeem it online and get RM35 (500 points for RM5) rebate on your TM's bill.

A SMS on your HyppTV's ID and password was sent to you when your Unifi got connected.
