Using FTTH or VDSL (copper at last mile) is decided by TM. You can't choose.

this have been discuss many times, can be copper (SUBB) & fiber.
for my case, my parent stay in SUBB area so using copper, i stay in apartment & FTTH area so using fiber (to building) +copper (form building to house).

guys i want to subscribe unifi lite for my sister. is 10mb speed enough for 3-4 people streaming youtube with full hd?

and also the RM129 promotion still valid? thanks.
*
For me its enough. Had tried streaming Youtube at 1080 for 4 devices simultaneously and it was good. Yes Rm129 is still valid.

Unifi Lite can be both fiber and copper and it depends on the infrastructure in your area.

I have to direct the question to you since your configuration matches mine ideally. If they full copper from building to home, do you have to turn on the modem in order for the phone to work?

yes, because it is VOIP (if i not mistake?)
so u have to use modem to decode signal

add some info, my parent house which is in SUBB is using VDSL splitter.

Try 10Mbps first, it will be upgraded to 20Mbps in the future if you trust Pak Jib. You can upgrade to higher speed anytime without paying penalty.

another free upgrade? lol. maybe wait long long...

Already mentioned in Bajet 2017. Half Price and Double Speed in 2 years.
It is likely to appear again at BN's manifesto for PRU14.
Also, TM's SUBB project is set at 20Mbps as minimum.

Design spec 20Mbps for SUBB and 100Mbps for HSBB.
I assume they purposely create 10Mbps now and they can technically double the speed in 2 years. Then everyone will feel happy.

Mine STB from Streamyx 8mbps currently been used to watch HyppTV via Unifi Lite. The installer should do that for you. He changed some settings in the stb to unifi from streamyx and your user should be XXXX@tvos password NA. Can use any Lan port from your router

Brother can snap shot your setting to let us study or not? Appreciate you can share with us

If your house is covered by FTTH, you can't choose VDSL2. Otherwise TM cannot remove copper network from your street in the future. FTTH, you can get 1Gbps in the future!
