Err.. How to explain previously we didn't get full speed and now full speed? Takkan all our neighbours moved out?
*
Also depends on what kind of apps they are using.
If your neighborhoods are using streaming, play online games, heavy apps then the load of the speed will be drop
If your neighborhood arel using browsing internet, email or light apps only, then your load of the speed should be good

this is the different

Xefron has mentioned here that TM has updated our profile recently.
There is no so much of coincidence, if it is just my neighourhood, I can understand, but how about the rest? From everywhere in Malaysia? They also claimed the same for higher speed these days.

Moreover, I have relocated my UniFi from PJ to Seremban and still retaining 52Mbps. I was using it alone and now relocated back to my sister's house, her whole family is using it. I'm not living there.

All depends on your fiber node sharing.
If you alone to access, of course you will get full speed or more.
If more neighborhood to share your fiber nodes, means broadband speed will be shared, then your speed will drop

it called contention ratio. it like 1:25
can refer TM web for more. --> TM WEB

if your area having lots of condo/apartment, then you should worry for overload usage.

yes.
this is streaymx, 1:25. Means streamyx 8mbps in the your exchanges nodes shared by 25 neighborhoods near by.
But in unifi contention ration should be less.
For example my area is 1:7 contention ration
Others should be more or less there either 1:10 or more biggrin.gif

Surprisingly, I got the 50Mbps free upgrade from TM last week. I'm living in a high-rise. Maybe my building has an up-to-date infra.

Bro,
depends on locations
TM quality infra in Malaysia, so so only.
if you have purely fiber backbone, then your quality wise should be stability
If your backbone is copper wire (mostly old area) TM will put VDSL to boost up the signal to support Unifi speed.
Copper Wire quality wise a lot of noise means signal drop/loss, therefore, when reach to your house, your speed will be slow.

Nope, just SMS to inform it is already upgraded.
There are still people who haven't got yet. What is your current package?

Guys, if you are still waiting for free upgrade, i will share my experience with you.

I have used AskTm Online Chat to ask when will the free upgrade service for my 50mbps to 100mbps will be executed on April and they told me it will be on June. So I waited till end of June stilll have not receive any upgrade service. So I used the AskTm Online Chat to ask why still have not receive free upgrade service and they said have been postponed to July.

When it was mid of July I still have not receive the upgrade service, so I use AskTM Online Chat and ask again what still have not receive upgrade then they told me it has been postponed again to September.

I was so fed up, so I end up making a report on MCMC on 18 July, then I guess what, I got a call from TM with the number 03-26014000 on 21 July and ask me to choose an appointment date for the upgrade service and will come my house to replace the router.

To all other users, please proceed with making report at MCMC website to receive your upgrade as soon as possible otherwise u really just waste time waiting. I did not receieve any sms but just a call.

My area is Bandar Sri Damansara

Ok called TM for my mom as this is her line to upgrade from Streamyx to UNIFI. TM said they don't see anything logged. So maybe the telemarketeer didn't put in the order. asked me to take my mom to TM POINT. hopefully can still get the RM179 (without calls) with ruby package for 30MBPS like what they offered to my mom over the phone. Second time like this di. Once in June then no news and now again.

Sounds like Maxis is bullshitting!!

The IPv6 is totally under Maxis control and has nothing to do with TM. TM only provides the infrastructure at the Physical & Data Link Layers. Routing at the Network Layer (including IP addressing) is under respective ISP, in this case Maxis.
