Yes, if you submit EA form. Most of the banks recognise that piece of document, you can see it in almost all banks' requirement.

as far as i know, banks only lays the condition of minimum age. Shouldn't be a problem for 60's as long as you have a proven source of income and EPF/Tax contributions.

if you can't pay in full and it is a large amount, check if the bank have 0% installment so that you can pay in full in smaller chunks

Hi guys I wanna ask, i take phone installment for 12 months which about rm200 per month and my minimum amount to be paid for my credit card is rm 100 for this month. So should i pay rm200 (Installment) + rm100( Min amount) or just rm 100 (min Amount) so that my ccris wont have effect?

Thank you

banks would really <3 you for this.

pls try not do dig a financial hole for yourself.

if you dont have the capability to pay statement in full, each month, you shouldnt be using the cc at the first place. though it looks like a good facility for installment, but it's only beneficial if you could clear the monthly statement as well.

assuming phone price is rm2.4k (~rm200 x 12 months with 0% interest), you ought to get a more affordable phone (e.g. ~RM1k). there are many decent phones with reasonable specs at this price range.

Applied for Citibank Premiermiles last week. End up with approved Prestige & Premiermiles. I just want to experience unlimited Plaza premium Lounge but now can enjoy more lounges worldwide 👍. The annual fee for Prestige is rm1k per year but can get it waived if swipe 6k within 60 days and get awarded with 200k points that can be used to pay for the fee. Maybe this card is good for 1st year only though. The list of benefits for Prestige is staggering. Never heard about it before. Anyone has experience getting Prestige AF waived before? Just trying my luck here.

U mentioned Maybank 2 Cards? It's come with 1 set, because not every place accept Amex, thus u can swipe with ur Visa when Amex can't be use.

I dont remember applying for Amex though.

Was applying for credit card just in case needed it when going for business trips as it is more convenient than carrying a stack of money with you.

Since you said that it comes in a set. Then no worries i suppose.

Thank you for your reply. rclxms.gif

For M2Cards, AmEx is the useful card. The other card I locked in drawer.

Malaysia merchants accept Amex? I thought it is rare in Malaysia.

Not rare but not widely accepted either. But for bigger merchants (departmental, hypermarkets, certain petrol brand, pharmacy), chances are high.

Nope. What I meant is I applied once in April and got rejected, that was PBB.
This round I haven't tried with PBB again and approved for both SCB and Citibank.

Hi all,
Anybody know how to pay cukai taksiran to MBPJ via credit card online via their portal?
I am using HLB at the moment which does not have this feature to pay credit card.
Thank you
