hey guys! i'm back with more question to optimize my spending!
I basically have a few utilities to pay:
1. unifi & electric
2. Great Eastern insurance bill

what's the optimized way to pay these? especially for insurance bill. Also I prefer maybe Citibank (cos i'm a loyal customer) or some card that's free for life (enough card problem).

Any thoughts?
*
would be helpful to share the average monthly amount for each

also, what is the company for Electric?

u might want to call the bank to verify.

Nowadays I always tried to use credit cards whenever possible to get the max benefits of the cards, such as cash back, points, etc.
There are merchants who do not impose min spending rule and fee, eg, guardian accepts card even for less than rm10 spending, which are very much to my liking.

However pretty frustrated when merchants imposed minimum spending, eg rmxx to use card, or charge x% for the total amount spent. today encountered again merchant wanted to charge me 1.5% for rm300 spending, end up i paid cash and did not earn any points.

wanted to ask is this allowed by the banks agreement?

I'm just wondering, what will happen to my credit cards outstanding balance if I were to suddenly pass away?
I always pay my credit card statement in full every month. And at any moment of time, the money that is used to pay the statement is available in my bank accounts.
Does anyone know the exact procedure? Will the respective bank automatically deduct my savings account to pay for the outstanding balance when they freeze my account? Or my dependant (my wife) will be responsible to pay the outstanding balance?

Good day,
Two days ago a US based web hosting company Arvixe debited my account without getting any confirmation from me.
I have never subscribed for service auto-renewal of my domain. However this year they have updated their Terms and Conditions and now they are able to automatically do auto-renewal without getting customer's confirmation . Also in their web site, in my profile, I am not able to edit\remove my credit card detail. Of course I contacted their support to refund my money and cancel the hosting, but I know their customer support is the worst support that I ever met in my whole life. They always say "yes", "sure" but they never do the thing.
But also my bank has not sent me any sms or email to get a confirmation of debit.

Please suggest what can I do in this situation. I want to get back my money and prevent this kind of situation from happening in the future.

Hi guys I wanna ask, i take phone installment for 12 months which about rm200 per month and my minimum amount to be paid for my credit card is rm 100 for this month. So should i pay rm200 (Installment) + rm100( Min amount) or just rm 100 (min Amount) so that my ccris wont have effect?

Thank you
*
QUOTE(el8155 @ Jul 27 2017, 09:32 AM)
ok thank you smile.gif. Anyway i cant afford to pay statement balance in full that why i asked
*
banks would really <3 you for this.

pls try not do dig a financial hole for yourself.

if you dont have the capability to pay statement in full, each month, you shouldnt be using the cc at the first place. though it looks like a good facility for installment, but it's only beneficial if you could clear the monthly statement as well.

assuming phone price is rm2.4k (~rm200 x 12 months with 0% interest), you ought to get a more affordable phone (e.g. ~RM1k). there are many decent phones with reasonable specs at this price range.

that way usually cb already credited rite?
*
depends.

if your cb is earlier than statement date, then your current statement amount is lesser

if your cb is later than statement date, then your next statement amount would be lesser

mbb/hlb's cb is on 1st of the month, pbb vs/quantum is on statement date. other cards may varies.

sorry for the nop or repeated question coz i jz received my 1st mbb cc today.
wanna ask usually for the mbb cc statement release is on the day i activate the card or every 1st of the month? thx
*
call CS to find out your statement date. most likely they cant tell you now since it's too new. might need to wait until 1st statement is out, then the system will be updated.

last time i asked, there are a lot of dates for you to choose from smile.gif

3 6 8 12 14 18 21 24 26 28 EOM (end of month). there could be few more, cuz i asked these dates few years back.

anybody renew roadtax at post office use the credit card
*
i turn the question the other way round: does post office accept credit card payment?

for roadtax, i prefer walk-in biggrin.gif post office is literally accessible everywhere, be it around your house or work place or even inside mall. i can get the roadtax on-the-spot without fee or waiting time.

downside is human traffic, finding car park, etc. Well, best time to go is opening time laugh.gif usually open 830am, just nice before 9am work.

just my preference la sweat.gif

I've seen the PIN and PAY advertisement at a few Post Offices and that should indicate that they support card payments, but not sure of the scope of card payment acceptance.

i've also seen it too, but cant see any terminal when i was at the counter renewing roadtax.
